Opportunity Knocks does not account for Overload on Warrior

Cast Jam Session on turn 2 as warrior under the Opportunity Knocks anomaly, which ensures the card you draw each turn is one you can cast. On turn 3, I had two unlocked mana crystals and one locked one, and drew a 3 cost spell, Chorus Riff, which I could not cast. There were multiple 2 and 1-cost cards in my deck which could have been drawn instead.

Yeah I guess the anomaly doesn’t account for overload.

One might make the argument that ‘can afford to play’ is not necessary the same thing as ‘can play at all.’

Not specific to Warrior. Even Shamans get cards they can’t use.

“Can not play at all” is something like Brawl on an empty board. What’s the difference between “can not afford because of overload” and “can not afford”? The first is the subset of the latter.

BTW i have the same problem. Should be fixed, because Cho’Gall will be with us forever.

The anomaly doesn’t account for Overload effects. Simple as that.

It also doesn’t check your hand to see if you have a way to gain mana (Coin, Wild Growth) or a way to reduce the cost of the drawn card (Preparation).

That’s just the way it works.

That’s stupid excuse, because game ALREADY always knows if you can play a card or no taking overload into account. It is absolutely not the same as consider all the mana cheat cards in the game.
