Opponent keeps playing after rope burned

So, I faced a mage who played the Reno Jackson hero card and had a Coldarra Drake in hand.
They ‘ve put the Drake on board and started playing repeatedly his hero power. The arcane bullet one, which refunds 2 mana.

However, as they were casting their Hero Power, the rope was burning. I had still about 12HP when the rope animation finished burning. They kept recasting their Hero Power long after the rope animation finished. They dropped me to 2 HP, Hero Power’ed my whole board and finished off by playing Lightshow.

How is it that somebody can keep playing over 30 seconds after the rope burned? I’ve read on Google that people found a way to increase the amount of Frames Per Second Hearthstone runs at by tampering the game files, allegedly speeding up all the animations. I never tried it myself, but I assume that’s what was going on when I lost that match.

I don’t know about you, but that looks a lot like cheating to me. I filed an in-game report for the player who did this for Hacking.

It’s one thing to lose to a cheap combo, but it’s a tad more infuriating when you genuinely believe you had a potential win robbed from you because of an exploit.

Its animation time, they had enough time on their screen

it’s not that they played after their rope burned, it’s that the animations take less time on the player’s turn than they take on the opponent’s turn
So like using the hero power 10 times may take 5 seconds when you cast it but 10 seconds for your opponent to watch it happen

Yes there are cheats to skip the animations but the Reno Coldarra combo doesn’t need it

Graphic animations are slower/longer on the opponent’s screen.

On their screen, they finished within the proper time limit.

But on your screen it appeared like they were still playing after the time limit, simply because all those fancy animations took longer on your screen.
