Hi, I’ve been back on HS for a few months and I’d like to finish the adventures solo for the rewards, I’m having a lot of trouble. In one night in Karazhan in the chess game I can’t beat the AI ​​(I’ve tried 50-60 times), I also looked for posts and tutorials to understand if I was wrong or if it was impossible to beat the black king. Several posts I found say that there’s basically a nerf and you can’t win until the match is rebalanced. Is that really the case? I only need that boss and then I’m done.

I listed it as a bug simply because I read in several posts that it could be an AI bug.

Ive done it a few days ago… basicially the strategy with the AI as it currently is (as in it prioritises useing its hero power above anything else) means the best Strategy is to pass the first 2 turns and then take advantage of the double damage placements after…

Its annoying, heavily RNG dependant and will likely take several tries but it is possible.

I just got back into hearthstone again, and did all the heroic challenges for karazhan in a couple hours today. I could not beat the chess one at first. It took me 3 hours of playing just that one last boss to beat it, got it on my last attempt before I was going to get off for the night, skipped the first two turns like people say and got lucky with my draws
