Oh look, all the streamers alreayd highlighted the best decks and it’s the very first day of the expansion and out of my 20 matches I played against exactly 4 decks (handbuff/plague dk/handbuff paladin, wheel warlock and odyn warrior). Because, why would we leave the experimentation to new people?
Missing the old times where new expansion would launch to everyone at once instead of to the ‘‘elites’’ first.
It isn’t even remotely close to a solved format. Don’t worry. The issue isn’t that the best decks have already been found (they haven’t), it’s that most people who want to experiment suck at deck building and get stomped by the stuff that was relatively easy to figure out. You’ve got to accept a lot of trial and error and a lot of losses if you want to experiment with building new decks.

i mean, no aggro deck beats Paladin or Odyn, and the aggro vs. Handbuff DK matchup is 40/60 in DKs favor.
no combo deck outspeeds Paladin atm. Hunter is the closest thing to T2 but Paladin and DK both solidly beat it.
sorry to say, it’s basically solved atm
Huh?
I’m confused on this one. Are you talking about the theorycrafting stream?
I haven’t seen anyone else playing dragon priest, but it feels like I can drop enough stats and take an extra turn before most other decks can get their game plan going.

Never have I missed the starfish so much. All the hand/deck buff stuff going on and some classes have very little in the way of counters. Have seen nothing but DK, Warrior, and Paladin so far. Maybe one hunter. GG Blizz.

Every single expansion is disappointing the past 5 years or so. The game gets worse with every expansion.

I speak from the view of just one class, so it is really disheartening to hear others say the same things I do.
They are true, imho, but still; sad to hear.
In the past five years, the game has gone steadily downhill in terms of balance and diversity.
I play in Wild mainly, and my class can only build one deck that truly wins, after ten years of cards.
Other classes have as many as four viable decks.
That doesn’t happen by accident, and it is indicative of a larger problem with this game.
We have less than 48 hours worth of data lol stop.
Two days before expansion launch
Everyone: “I can’t wait for this new expansion. I’m so excited to try out these new cards. This is going to be the best expansion ever”
Two days after expansion launch
Almost everyone: This expansion sucks. Blizzard why are you such a %$#@ up company. You can’t do anything right. Meta is bad and I hate this game and I’m just gonna uninstall.
…every…single…expansion…ever!!!

I usually sit out the first two weeks of each expansion.
I played enough yesterday to get my five wins to jumpstart the rewards, but that’s it.
After they make the first balance pass I will likely try some things out.
Well, at least I am consistent. I have never cheered for any expansion since
at least Barrens.
Even that turned out to be a waste of time, since HP mage wasn’t given enough support to be competitive.
This expansion seems pretty typical to me.
Pally looks super strong, from all I have seen, and mage players will put all of their hopes into the miniset, which will undoubtedly let them down.
