Got the priest mastery quest today and built a Nomi priest (him and archivist were two of my legendaries, so it seemed to make sense). Edit better known as Miracle Priest, I gather.
For those of you who haven’t seen it, the idea is to use Gadzegtan auctioneer and cheap spells to plow through the deck and play Nomi, who can be seanced twice to refill the board 2 more times.
It works well enough I might want to try it on ladder.
Currently I’m using grave terrors as the main stall. Removal is mass hysteria, 2x pyromancers, 1x auchenai (plus circle of healing).
Draw is currently GA, and I’m trying to decide whether Acolyte of Pain or Northshire cleric is better (currently running 1x each). AP synergizes with pyromancer, but Northshire into circle of healing can give burst draw.
Archivist is a backstop, as is 1x spirit of the dead, since I’ve had some luck getting back a Nomi that way.
I’ve mostly stuck to the zero and 1 cost spells for everything else, but I have one IF and 2 divine spirits in case someone leaves a grave horror alive.
Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions from their own experience? Is it worth including mass silence? I’m laddering from 15 to 10 currently, so I’m seeing a lot of competently piloted aggro and the occasional control warrior and summoner mage.
Can you share deck list pls?
If you already running silence, then adding mass silence seems too much. What are you going to use it against? Token druid? Perhaps useful in combination with pyro (to clear tokens right after that).

A decklist would be nice.
I’m saying this in a completely objective manner, that deck is complete garbage and the idea that “it’s just got a high skill ceiling” is a load of crap. It is a hard deck to play perfectly but even when played perfectly it’s trash.
With that being said…
“Draw is currently GA, and I’m trying to decide whether Acolyte of Pain or Northshire cleric is better (currently running 1x each). AP synergizes with pyromancer, but Northshire into circle of healing can give burst draw.”
Run both
“Archivist is a backstop, as is 1x spirit of the dead, since I’ve had some luck getting back a Nomi that way.”
Drop spirit immediately, it’s completely counter intuitive.
“I’ve mostly stuck to the zero and 1 cost spells for everything else, but I have one IF and 2 divine spirits in case someone leaves a grave horror alive.”
Drop down to 1 divine spirit. The one thing the deck does well is cycle, you don’t need two copies of any backup plan. To be completely honest I’d drop archivist all together. When will you play her? If your decks empty your dropping Nomi and seancing, if they clear that board you rinse and repeat. If they clear all 3 of those boards you’ve lost, archivist isn’t going to save you.

This is the version I have seen being played around rank 3 right now. Apparently it beats Rogue. Also I’ve see Ooze instead of Auchenai
We… ran into one of these guys. I was spectating someone playing Deathrattle Hunter and bumped into this.
I hadn’t seen it yet, so my first instinct was “it’s Mechathun”, but then Nomi came out (just one turn too late). Don’t know how I feel about it; it makes a good bit of sense, what with Grave Horrors and Seance to accompany an Auctioneer, but it feels a step short of Miracle Rogues - no Conceals, Cheat Deaths, or Shadowsteps to protect the Auctioneer, it all has to go down in one go, or virtually any targeted removal pops the Auctioneer. That being said, with all those 0 cost spells, it can go pretty fast.
I guess I’m just expecting more out of it. It gets to Nomi impressively quick, but doesn’t feel like it does a whole lot overall. Not only that, but Nomi is just too fair - while Standard lacks powerful AoE, the fact that he has to sit for a turn gives a chance for Brawls, Shadowflame, and other nasties to clear, while classes that cannot clear can take advantage of the slow deck to push their own game plan relatively uninterrupted. If it ended the game immediately like Mechathun or a fat Maly/Leeroy Miracle, it would feel a lot stronger.
I’ll have to take a crack at it sometimes since I own Nomi. The idea of a deck that fully uses Grave Horror and Seance is appealing, as is the thought of Seance-Nomi against control.

Yeah the latter deck list seems consistent. Maybe tech in some weapon removal if you’re getting too many rogues or bomb warriors
Nomi is about to become meta and I’m still here wondering H O W
Having played it now (both with my original deck and the netdeck), I’d say you’re right. It is ok at clearing early and drawing but it missing something to make sure you’re safe the turn before nomi. And really aggressive decks kinda just trample it. I think there’s some potential, but right now it just doesn’t seem like something that should be as highly ranked as it is.
One thing as far as the skill cap, I’d imagine it helps a lot if you can read aggro decks and know when to clear. I struggle with that.

Maybe it needs doomsayer. You clear and then play doomsayer the turn before Nomi.
That was the only way to play dragoncaller Alana which is very comparable imo.
