Okay? When do BG’s player hit the Wall?

isnt that what hitting the wall means tho? at what mmr is your skill wall seemingly at?

mines at the 6k marker. Once i get above that point I get put into lobbies with people well above my own skill constantly. Its why I tend to stop trying to gain any more ranking once I come close to it. I cant scale my entire board into triple digits by only turn 10 like some other crazy folk. I can barely get to tier 5 in some matches once Im above 6k.

Hey, I dont hit 10k, but 7-9k as f2p, and same when I do buy the pass, same in duo aswell as f2p with randoms.

I do similarly as you do. With or without the pass, it has such a negligible difference on my climbs up the bg ranks. if I had to put a value on it it;d be less than a 200 pt difference if any at all. and probably both + and - that 200 difference.

You only have one point of view as well. Apparently you are too poor to afford to pay for anything and need it all to be free.

That was an error putting in FTP in that sentence. It was supposed to read P2W. The overall point is that apparently spending money on anything is P2W. Having 4 options is nice but it’s not the SOLE determining factor in how well you do in a lobby. If you don’t like that then spend the pitance it costs and get the 4 options. It’s ridiculous to shame players for spending an amount of money that is barely anything.

if paying for the pass is p2w hands down, then so is running when walking is free. the logic doesnt work.

you can easily walk everywhere you need to given enough prep time to. but if you spend the effort to run instead of the relatively free option to walk, it doesnt put you at an advantage when the finish line is getting to work on time. you can choose to spend your calories that way or not to. The only relative difference is how sweaty you arrive at work and how much preptime is required. but both versions are gonna be perfectly capable of getting you there on time. its just a preference.

the ONLY scenario where i can see a [poor] argument for the pass being p2w is if someone self restricts themselves from freely just leaving lobbies ever. The ones obsessed with “always play every game all the way thru” mentality. thats a self imposed issue.

Bud. I own my own business I have nothing but time.it not about being poor.

It’s not a poor argument, that’s annoying that I have to leave and join a game over and over to cycle heroes when heroes are the only thing changing aside from tier timing and unit comp. I have the pass before I get called broke, but it is still annoying that they changed the game, it’s very hero dependent right now and now they introduce rerolls that you can buy for $4.99. Sure, you can F2P and leave games until you get your hero but why would I do that if a reroll feature exists? Why can I not reroll to any hero that isn’t in another pool for free? It’s all relative to AAA greed and if you dont like calling it p2w then call it pay for advantage but it’s an advantage that you do not get if you are playing free. Thats what most people call p2w, welcome to 2024.

It sounds more like you want to play the same hero(es) if they would let you. The entire point of BGs is that every time you click the join button for BGs it is a slot machine, and the results are what they are. (Heroes to choose, tribes available). If you dont like the outcome of that pull of the metaphorical slot machine, pull the lever again as it doesnt cost you anything at all. You dont get to re-roll certain parts of the slot machine in real life unless you pay to, but at least in this fake version you get to just pull the entire lever as many times as you like for free. If that is annoying to you, consider a world where it could cost you to just join BGs at all like it does for Brawlesium. We have the better deal as it is now already. The greedy one seems to be you in this scenario.

yup they keep remove posts mainly because they are scared that people realize that battleground is ruled by an algorithm that decide who will win and who will lose as soon as he make the lobby, thats why you see A TON of 0.1% win/loss.
just go on reddit or any other forum who is not censored by blizzard and you’ll have your answers

100% False. Right now heroes mean very little outside of finding the right one you are offered to fit the current lobby. I will let you take ANY hero you want in a lobby with me and you can give me the “Worst” one and i’ll bet i place higher than you in the lobby.

If you play a lot you will sometimes get stuck before hitting 6000 at the beginning of the season. Those really good players will rank up further and get out of the way, and then you can rank up to your normal spot.

Considering they promote the game as Free to Play, that’s a pretty harsh statement.

The game is designed from the ground up to be microtransactions-based. It’s in the official announcements of 2013. When some of us do pure F2P we do it as a sport in itself; we are aware of the handicap; we do not care there is at least a minimal handicap.

Completely understand what the game is, and I agree with you. I was more commenting on the statement “if you can’t afford to pay for optional features in a game you shouldn’t play video games.” and how that seems pretty unreasonable.

I wouldn’t normal make such a comment but the person i was responding to was being unreasonable and not debating in good faith. I myself only buy the passes and everything else i buy with gold. I collect enough gold to collect the sets so it’s not a big deal to me.

They removed my post and said it was found as “trolling” because I was talking about their sensitive paywall operation. That’s sketchy and suspicious.

I come in here and everyone’s arguing, and what’s the number one factor that causes such a distraction not the main topic? Money. That’s exactly what blizzard wants, us all arguing with each other and not banding together as a real community, not their little pseudo community woke guidelines.

That’s generally how I used to buy the Battleground pass with gold I would save up but they took that option away awhile ago so I don’t buy anything anymore.

Now the fact they show you the hero’s you couldn’t choose from without buying the pass is in my eyes trolling players and I’m sure they would make the argument that it’s showing you what you could have if you spent the money . . . but it doesn’t feel that way. Anyways, I get they need to make money and all its just the massive micro transactions and all the different currency models they have is just bad.
