Wow… 8-0, from the bottom of Bronze mind you as I don’t play wild normally. Not one match went past turn 9. It was a bloodbath and I’m sorry to the players that I did that too… wow…
edit: I’m shelving the deck for now. I’m sure the win rate would balance out but only once did someone have me at lethal with 1 health but Ice Block, Explosive Runes, followed up by double Fireball to the face next turn said otherwise. One sided fights aren’t fun for me

Wait until you go up against the most OP card though, Thoughtsteal.

I hit two priests. turn 6 on each and they were dead. I will admit to a little satisfaction there but still
Couldn’t even tell you what they were playing deck wise

I was just poking a little fun at Mallenroh, one of the other posters here.
Congrats on the win streak!

Lol, your humor is exceeded only by your wits and charm:)
It’s a strong deck for someone who likes tempo and burn based playstyle for Mages. I personally don’t like mage as much, but this deck is a quick and reliable push right along the equally powerful Pirate Warrior and Odd Demon Hunter aggro decks.
The meta is quite balanced in my opinion. Only class I feel has taken the hit was Druid. Slower decks means Geist tech, and Druid was mainly a top tier deck for countering 4 giants Quest Mage.

Why?
You could have played any meme imaginable at Wild B10. Hakkar Priest, Mecha’Thun Paladin, Jade Rogue, Patron Felhound Warlock, you name it.
There’s no serious decks below G10 in Wild.

Truth be told, I have a weak spot for Secret Mage. Nailing a Counterspell on a big ol’ Mass Hysteria feels satisfying, as does Potion of Polymorphing some big hulking Deathrattle-Taunt.
But yeah, make no mistake, it’s a strong deck. You were facing the low ranks, so of course you won, but it’s entirely possible to keep a huge streak up until you start facing certain Reno and/or Warlock decks.
Great matchup against DH’s though - Flakmages are nuts.

The problem I have in standard right now is that a lot of the games feel one sided. This isn’t fun. Going 8-0 with any deck that easily shouldn’t really be a thing. I’m not a great player by any means. I’m happy to hit G5 and just play whatever after that. Grinding against competitive players with misery generating decks isn’t the kind of game I really want to play. So I don’t

Luck comes in bursts. Try the same deck another day and let us know how it fares?
I feel secret mage is not viable currently at high ranks. I’ve shelved mine. Hard to fight warlock and often, I get no turn 1 (Kabal) or turn 2 (arcane or mad scientist or that draw secret card). Once you start with fireballs, cloud prince, a bunch of secrets or 5/5 6 mana whatever it’s called, pretty much game over. And it happens quite often.

Every meta deck is going to be smooth sailing at low ranks. Good for you you’re on a massive winstreak, but I look forward to hearing about your progress at diamond 10/5
I don’t think I’m very interested in beating the snot out of people to get there.
Secret mage isn’t infallible. Once you get to Diamond 10 and even more at Diamond 5, your OPness gets handled fairly well by locks and priests with the occasional druid and shaman who drew perfectly.

I guess I was just expecting a little more resistance while I was playing. Regardless of level I wouldn’t expect 8/10 games to be completely mine to lose at any point. I mean there was no hope in the world for them to change a thing.
Only twice did I think that I “might” lose and both times they needed to get through Ice Block and survive my next turn. They didn’t but at least there was some game play involved in these 2.
I suppose my expectations were biased as I’m used to standard. Wild is wild.

Well to be fair; if you draw perfectly, then there is little any deck can do.
But; that is true for a great many wild decks.

Yup. Even my pirates deck. In the first 6 or 7 games, always had cache in starting hand with a cannon either in hand or shortly after start. Needless to say, won all those until game 8 or 9.
Haha.
