Even in the late game, massive damage swings from hand are a bit much. It’s also another “for the rest of the game” type card, which
 eh.

I’ve always thought “Instead of” would be a good trade. You go all in on massive face damage at the expense of your armor gain (instead of just chunking the opponent while also gaining massive health) but
 I doubt they do that.

I’m wondering if anyone here can help me?
I bought the mini-set of titans a little over an hour ago, thinking it would contain EVERY legendary card from the expansion, yet I never received Odyn, is this normal?

Thanks im advance!

It literally tells you what you get, learn to read

Every time there is a late game win condition, the response is always “What were you doing all the time? You should have killed them before then.” As if people aren’t trying to do just that.

If a card was a 10 mana Battlecary: Win the game, would that card be terrible because it only comes into effect on turn 10 and everyone should just “Kill them by then?”

well that was an extremely helpfull anwser wasn’t it?
you should write a book ‘how to help a first time poster on the hearthstone forums’ Then nobody has to ask anything anymore as all they have to do is ‘learn to read’

First shudderwock shaman needs to be nerfed. Just dispise it.

The mini-set is a specific set of cards, a subset of the entire Titans expansion, not every legendary card.

As the other guy said, it should have been spelled out in the shop.

While I do think 8 mana effects should be pretty strong, I don’t like them being effects that impact the rest of the game.

Like, give them 3 turns of it. At least that creates a pathway for more decks to outplay it, and the game isn’t largely decided on if Odyn comes down on 8 or not.

Persistent game ending effects with no counter cards are just lazy design to end games in ways that become really repetitive.

Ah, if you play Odin you live in perpetual fear of Dirty Rat and Theotar.

If someone plays Theotar, “Quit freaking out!”

So it has plenty of counterplay.

It is the best card design for Warrior in years.

Yeah, but that doesn’t actually negate the fact that Odyn is poorly designed. It just creates games that are still decided on if Odyn hits the board, now just with a random chance of your deck bring worthless if the RNG tech hits.

I hate that what decides most of my matches against warrior and mage are what patchwerk hits.

Hmmm, I could be on both sides of the fence.
I play a lot of Even Warrior in wild.
From a personal perspective, I think it is a very fair deck, Odyn being a win condition in most match ups but not all.
I think it’s fair because it takes me some time to get going. If I have Odyn on 8, I still need to contend with taunts, Otks, infinite turns, milling, there’s a whole bunch of stuff. Never mind these greedy losers playing Brann dirty rat.
I can see how like 30 or more damage from gaining armor might seem op too. It can be a lot to stay out of reach. I lose a lot of matches though so I feel he’s pretty fair. Definitely more fair than the degenerate decks like Shudderwock shaman or time warp mage.

Agreed, thanks for that, good to know the entire community isn’t as toxic as that guy

It needed to be nerfed before, but the devs did their favorite thing regarding balance: stall, until a new set drops and hope the problem solves itself.
