Okay i am not crazy. I just noticed it and thought it was some kind of bug.
I’ve seen pewuse post count as some sort of superiority complex or as a way to discount someone’s argument. I won’t miss it.
You can still see the post count by clicking on the profile.
Probably done as the same reason they removed the thread author, make it higher effort.
It’s much less problematic than the author name, though
I didn’t like seeing the number go down below every day anyway xD
i noticed the author name gone days ago i thought i misclicked something
so there is no way to get that back ? i used it to avoid checking threads made by …some posters like the one who spam the bug forum with posts demanding for blizzard to “fix this bug” without ever describing a single bug
No posts? No thread author?
Why hide the information now? I don’t like these changes.
First they remove downvotes (at least from WoW’s forums, don’t remember if HS ever had that) now this.
The old forums had downvotes (no longer accessible)
I think they did this to reduce the amount of flags high post count forum users get.
In which case, I am for it.
No one here can deny that those with a high thread count get attacked for it.
i hope they fix the trust level issue
more than a year without any modded posts nothing was deleted or flagged by mods
i was posting card reveals (i think it was 2 expansions ago ) and suddenly i log in to post more cards and find i cant post links
that must mean the trust level was reset without any posts being flagged in all these years that never happened before and i was usually able to post links to card pics again 3 or 4 months later …i tried to post the cards from lost city and found out i couldnt …
i havent heard anyone else having this issue
by "high profile " you mean high post count ,right?
one of the times i lost my trust level was because someone (probably using an army of alts ) flagged a 3 year old post… thats how i found out we dont have mods in this forum
The last time i lost trust level i got Reported for reposting an alert from another forum that was showing patch notes and a card reveal. Some tool decided to mass report me for posting spoilers of new set cards. Ironically it’s not hard to figure who it is because they post here regularly and openly talk about reporting people for it. I basically stopped posting card spoilers after that for the most part.
yes. My count is over 20k, and so that attracts alot of attention, and others can attest to that behavior too. Many of us: (Even your count must be pretty high.) when we disagree with someone, it isn’t unusual for them to attack the thread count and claim you work for team 5 or something, lol.
And you’re right. We have no live moderation. Best you will get is a review after the fact.
The Flag honor system is a joke lol.
TBH YOUR trust level issue is very much a YOU issue.
The criteria for TL3 is documented, and I am fairly sure I know which aspects you are failing to hit. Maybe look at your own posting instead of blaming the system. Hint: Being contrarian all the time isnt going to make you popular.
It’s not always a “you” problem. The flag system is easily abused. I’ve known players who spend more time working the flag system than they do playing.
And let’s be real. the one overworked person they have assigned to reading all the complaints? (probably for every forum, not just HS.) most likely isn’t reading every single thread thoroughly, and then making a well reasoned ruling.
Its not the flag issue preventing Boreas from regaining his TL3. It is his posting, I am 99% sure of it.
Being contrarian just for the sake of it is highly likely to increase your odds of not meeting at least 1 of the criteria for TL3.
In this specific circumstance, yes, it is a"you" issue.
You know my post history, better than most, Mal.
I have TL3.
I didn’t quite understand your original statement.
Fair enough.
But you know better than I do that there are those with twelve devices that live to flag.
And my trust level is a WANTED poster:)
Oh, for sure. I dont agree with the system. at ALL. But it is what we have and, yes, you can game the system/community if you know the criteria. As I said, being contrarian in the vast majority of “your” posts is unlikely to help you reach 1 criteria for TL3.
For perspective, pretty much every other gaming forum/community I participate in consider repeated contrarian posting to be trolling, with repeated offences leading to increased suspensions from posting. So, I get it.
Boreas has a high post count, but most of them fall under trolling.
so you admit it isnt because you just said my trust levlel changed because i have my own opinion… and not because my posts were flagged ( when i lost my trust level 2 expansions ago i didnt had a single post flagged or deleted between the last time i posted a link and following day )
having a different opinion than others is only bannable offence in reddit subs
Being contrarian all the time will get you banned on many forums.
You are welcome to your opinion. You are welcome to ignore my advice, no skin of my nose either way. But, if you really want you TL3 back so bad, maybe look within before blaming the system.
