Nothing changed

I didn’t play last expansion because of quest paladin, returned for this expansion and quit again because of, you guessed it, quest paladin. I can’t believe this bs.

Can’t blame you, they still haven’t nerfed it to nonexistence.

I didnt tag any murloc in 30 games, you must be in silver rank

Unfortunately, the small indie company can’t get it right before they release a new expansion.
There’s usually a balance patch about 2 weeks after an expansion launch. With any luck, it will nerf the older decks to “let the new cards shine”.

Players still play this deck that can be beaten by a low roll Arena deck? It’s a nonexistent deck in the meta.

Because you’re still in basement mmr

But Murlocadin is mid. :sob:

I honestly can’t wait for the next patch notes not containing nothing about murlocs… :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

hahahaha you thought they would actually give any sort of thought to their game? Where have you seen that in any of the 10+ years of this games existence???

Have you seen the shop? It’s sold as a “ladder ready deck” for $5.

As long as people subscribe to the nonsensical idea of a “meta” being acceptable game design, this will continue.

It makes perfect sense to Blizzard to sell premade guaranteed win decks when the player base itself thinks there should be a “meta” that invalidates 95% of all the cards available in the game.

And no, I’m not victim blaming here, but the reality is that too many people pretend there’s meant to be such a thing as “a counter”, when proper game design means every possible deck is 100% equally viable.

It’s obvious that the game is designed to allow players to craft an enormous variety of decks with all sorts of card combinations, but none of those decks have a singular predetermined instant win condition, while the “ladder ready” and other “meta” decks always do and always have.

Until the player base starts calling out the very concept of a “meta”, Blizzard will keep selling pay-to-win decks.

If that’s your idea of “proper game design”, I think you’re trying to hold the game to an impossibly high standard. There is no way that “every possible deck” can be equally viable in this, or any other, CCG.

You think $5 is “pay-to-win”? Then who is buying the $50 and $80 pre-orders?
Also, everyone got a FREE “ladder ready deck”. And new and returning players will also get one, for free, when they fulfill the conditions.

Not to mention that new players get a standard ready deck too.

They are viable. They just aren’t all highly competitive. There’s a huge difference.

There will always be a meta. Quest paladin is ok for quick leveling on D10, but otherwise it’s not that good. There are other cards that need to be nerfed, such as Resuscitate and so on

If I were you admitting I left because of a by and large mediocre deck, I’d be embarrased as soon as I typed out my complaint lol.

I just logged on played 3 games and got otk from all 3 players. The interaction was amazing, clear my board every turn with extreamly skilled precision, then just play a significant rinsed card and win the game.

I saw one murloc paladin in my 40ish game climb from D5-Legend and I haven’t seen one since.
