As advertised in the 31.0 Patch Notes, “Everyone will get one free entry into the Pre-Release Tavern Brawl”.
However as I went to the Brawl, there was no option to start it for free, and it was being charged 2 tavern tickets. Anyone else got this issue?
Ridiculoushat on Reddit says that the free entry should pop up when you press the button to spend two tickets
“click the button and it’ll pop up. i tried it on my account first to make sure - we’re looking into why the dialog box for a free entry isn’t popping up automatically, but your first entry is free. promise!”
I haven’t confirmed if it’s true or not. Either way, it’s very irritating
It does, it comes up and says something like “it normally costs 2 tickets to enter this brawl but this first one is on us!” or something to that effect.
Yeah I wasn’t fully paying attention but that also happened for me
It does but only after you click on the pay button. If you don’t know beforehand you will think that there’s no free entry.
im not seeing anywhere you can buy tickets with gold as im seeing others state in threads. not in the store at all, just the runes/usd option to buy 11 at a time
Hi Skizzy, thank you for the suggestions! I tried it and it works. That initial screen is terrible though I literally thought if I clicked the button it was immediately going to take 2 of my Tavern Tickets without even a confirmation Screen!

A dev acknowledging that the screen is missleading and doesn’t work as intended, saying they’ll fix that for the next time
