Nostalgic Gnome text should've used Honorable Kill

Currently this minion has Miniaturize, Rush, and text:
“After this minion deals exact lethal damage on your turn, draw a card.”

Shouldn’t it just say
Miniaturize, Rush, Honorable Kill: draw a card?

Why? This card has been bothering me because of this text not using the key word.
Please help me !

They do this on purpose because they don’t want to reintroduce older keywords as a one-off.

Their reasoning is that they think it will confuse newer players with that single keyword on a new set, but I agree with you in that I think it’s dumb to treat your player base as if they are incapable of learning 1 more thing.

As if learning 1 more keyword somehow is the straw that breaks the camel’s back for intelligence of new players.

It’s always bothered me, but this isn’t the first time they’ve done it. They do it quite often, actually.

Using honorable kill (an old keyword) could also have accidental synergies or unintented interactions with other older cards that used the keyword. So rather than diving into that mess they use a separate keyword.

Meanwhile, Mega-Windfury…

keywords should be added to cards when they leave standard

It’s a line of nostalgic cards that have this effect, it is done purposely and in fact I think it’s flavorful.

Another example is Nostalgic Initiate, which basically has the spellburst mechanic.

The cards are throwbacks with a wink to their former versions (Gnome Private and Intrepid Initiate)
