Title says it all tired of getting a few wins (hard ones I might add) then out of nowhere the perfect deck that has every counter to my deck and huge mons.
Just another way to keep people Blizz doesn’t want to get rewards.

Yep, rigged like everything else in this trash game.
Arena definitely feels like this usually in 1-2 runs hence it deters me from playing knowing that it’s an RNG fiesta. You have almost little to no control.
Sure you can make smart trades but if their overall card quality is better they will win.
Arena mode is RNG extreme so they made duels thinking it will become popular but at it’s base they both are RNG modes and suck.
Arena is just meme mode not worth playing at all. My opponents usually have 3 great legendaries while i have none or 1 useless.
Arena may be somewhat “rigged”, but you can definitely still improve at it. I’m not a super top arena player, but I know how to get at least 3 wins 85% of the time.
I get a lot of 6 wins though, perhaps a single mistake in one of the games prevented me from getting 7.
I disagree as I will win 1-2 games than come against a deck that is near perfect.
2 times I played a Mage and Warrior that had 90% of their cards for that specific class (which should be near impossible).
You disagree with what exactly?
This happens to the best of players. That’s why you can lose up to 2 games before you end the run.
The question is, are you losing games you could have won by playing differently?
NO I am losing these games because I literally stand no chance. They counter everything I do and have things I can’t counter.
It’s almost like the more wins you accumulate, the harder the opponents get…
I’m pretty certain your ability to win 6 or more games is larger dependent on your luck in building the deck. Everything below that, more or less is your ability to manage a deck and play smart. It sucks but I’ve been enjoying it more than standard (at least pre-nerfs). If they have more discovery you’re probably losing. If they have more legendaries. Also probably losing. : / Especially when you played a match and there were no reasonable ways to play around or play better. And you still lose. It’s like playing standard without the cards to make it work.
I’m going to offer an alternate way of looking at the rigging issue you are experiencing in arena. Each point is important to understand individually so that you’ll be able to better navigate your way up the ladder to more wins. I do not have proof that this is how the game works however it’s as good a theory as any rigging in this mode.
Try not to think of arena, or any other part of HS really, as “random” and more as a series of paths to follow. Each player is offered a choice of “paths” which will lead to a certain point on the ladder. Even if you manage to pick the most optimal path, it will only lead to #rank. Now that you understand that point…
The next thing to know is; Not everyone will make the optimal choices and in fact most won’t. This is where most people will see rigging vs pathing and choices made by the players.
I’m not suggesting that there is an instant way of recognizing the paths nor that the paths won’t change based on your selections and those of the players in the available pools. What I am suggesting is that knowing what paths lead to the best decks at X level will help to make better choices. As will looking at tier lists on other sites but if you like to learn as you go, like I do, then give this a go
Are people really unclear that Arena means that across all players there’s a 3 win average?
You shouldn’t expect to get more than 3 every time. And not doing so does not require cheating on Blizzard’s part.
This has nothing to do with harder opponents. I could handle being beaten by a better opponent. This is their deck is just 10000x better then yours.
Yes. Good decks are more likely to get to 3 wins than average decks.
That’s how arena works…decks aren’t supposed to be balanced, and matches aren’t supposed to be fair.
Played an arena yesterday. Did I have some opponents that had “the perfect counter”? Yes. Still got 7 wins with an average deck, and I started 0-1 where I didn’t really think of playing around a Lion’s Guard and still took them to 1hp afterwards.
Have a look at this guide:
I would consider myself still in the Intermediate category with 3-5 win average, which goes to show how much more you can improve your arena skills.
I agree Ghost I am so sick of getting thrashed in this game. it’s like your opponent creates cards they need out of thin air.
I was playing a round the other day a friend of mine was watching irl i had the PERFECT play and there was only two cards that could have possible beaten it and guess what he had…the perfect counter play. (even my friend said “there is just no way he had that card…no way!!”.
The game is rigged %100 i guess if you don’t give Blizzard $ by buying decks then this is not the game for you.
Yeah, the fake randomness in this thash game is just disgusting. The more brain-dead your opponent is, the better cards he will draw due to rigged RNG.
So you are losing because you are more intelligent? Interesting logic. Also you complain about this for months and still play?
A legend ranked player starts arena like with a 3 win average, since most arena players are there because they already got a good concept of the game. I average nearly 6 in recent 30 rounds and I think I’ve just started the journey; I recognize when I don’t play perfectly or when I picked the wrong card for the deck. Sometimes you get bad luck and get low wins, it’s fine. The average is more representative.
