So somewhat new to the game… but do none of the solo adventures give any cards or card packs? Just worked my way through the monster Hunter and got nothing for it. Seems like a waste of time if there isn’t ateast some card reward. Did the puzzles and all that was was a dang card back! Really a waste
Monster Hunter rewards you a card back for defeating Hagatha, who you face after unlocking all four Heroes in Monster Hunt.
The Boomsday Puzzle rewards a card back for unlocking the whole thing.
Rumble Run grants a card pack for a single run.
dont forget the koft free adventure from the shop for a (wild hero card) legendary card and 3 packs, kobolds and catacombs gives you a card back after beating it with all the classes and all the rewards from dalaran heist and the older adventures you can buy for money and get even more wild cards
in summary you get a ton of non cosmetic rewards and cosmetic ones for just doing the adventures
There are 3 different eras of adventures and one special chapter
The first era - The adventures could be purchased with gold or real money, and it includes Curse of Naxxramas, Blackrock Mountain, League of Explorers and One Night in Karazhan, this phase of the the adventures used to reward cards as completion and where in a way, considered small sets on their own. An extra reward of a card back was awarded for beating the heroic difficulty. After Karazhan this time of adventure was discontinued and replaced by a regular set starting with Knights of the Frozen Throne
The special chapter - Knights of The Frozen Throne started a new era of adventures (now single player mode), this time around the content is free, and it works as support as it helps to solidify the theme of the set and to flesh out the story around it. I feel it deserves a special place because of the reward system it had, it rewarded a Death Knight card for beating the prologue, and then a pack from the set for each “wing” and then a new hero portrait for beating the Lich King with every class, this will differentiate it from all other iterations in this era.
The second era - This era brought a whole new approach to single player content with the creation of Dungeon Run, this game mode is highly re playable and once again free, but there is no other reward than the card back for completion. This era Includes Dungeon Run, Monster Hunt, Puzzle Lab, and Rumble Run.
The third era - The latest era began with the Dalaran Heist, adventures are once again paid content (except first wing), heroic mode is re instituted, and different wings are once again available, this time rewards have been spread across the experience, 3 packs per wing for beating 5 bosses in a row, one card back for completion and a different one for heroic completion, Golden Promo Legendary for owning all wings, and a bonus special mode (anomaly) for owning all five wings too.
I know this is a long answer but that should cover most of what you want to know about adventures, hope it is useful to you!
It’s free content. Your reward is free content.
Well I don’t care about free I care about enjoyment, I have money. What I don’t want to waste is time… time on something pointless and thank you @thanatos and @jedwig and @Wonder buster- now I can direct my attention to what I want to get rather than just doing them all. Appreciate the info
You are playing hearthstone. The entire experience is pointless. It’s a video game.
For free packs etc go to the blizzard shop (not in game but through browser) and pick the Knight of the frozen throne wild adventure. Its free and gives you one dustable (if you dont play wild) legendary hero card + 3 packs.
Btw since these adventures were free they decided to create them without giving card packs as a reward. Still by the time they were released they gave some packs through some special quests not available anymore
The last one (Dalaran heist) is basically a 20$ bundle of packs that gives the adventure as something extra.
If i had to pick between these 2 options i d certainly pick the first model since you enjoy the adventures for free.
Still the best adventures imo were the first ones. They might have costed money but still you were gaining some pretty sweet valuable cards.
