Its a sad state of affairs, I have a good game with someone win or lose and I want talk about it with them but no one ever accepts friend requests.
No one ever sends any ether.
I usually sends 2-3 a day but never get a reply.
Well that’s not true I got one request, but all he did was go on a 10 min racial/homophobic tirade that would make even the president blush.

Something that helps is to only send/accept friend requests 30 secs after the match.
You get the ones who send you requests and just spout some rude comments: just delete them quickly, but you’ll get other ones who have a reasonable chat with you and stay on your friends list.
At this point, I’d rather have in-game chat. You can’t have much of a meaningful conversation with just emotes. And it’s quite difficult to make friends with somebody when you know almost nothing about them and you’re unable to actually talk with them until the match is over.
Agreed, but we are about as likely to get that auto silence.
i like to talk too, but 99% who add you after a game are going to thrash talk you. How would i know if you are the 1%?

If the winner is sending you an invite, is it not more likely he just wants to talk?
I think sore winners are less likely then sore losers
lol no winner add me before as far as i remember. And considering i dont play the game for long per day, i favour aggro decks due to the speed and i guess get more salty people.
If you want a community to talk about the game with and play games with, you should really just add people here or join one of the various discord groups. There are actually a couple different ones so lots of people who will gladly do that.
Randoms are never gonna add you. Competitive games breed vitriol, and you cant properly groom the list beforehand.
A piece of advice: take part in a tournament. You’ll have more than enough friends and some of them may like talking as well.

Try firing off a “well played” at the end of the game when you lose. That usually tells the person that you don’t intend to be an idiot if they accept your friend request.
Yeah Sometimes I reject because I dont want the other person raging or boasting bout their win but i’ve accepted some which tells me like cool deck or well played was fun which is nice.
I have only once accepted friend request in HS and even then that was because my homebrew dragon deck decided to work like diddlydoodlidoo (really… sh…t is censored) (didn’t draw any dragons?!) and I knew he wanted to ask what happened. Usually I just autodecline everything. I play this game because I’m antisocial and don’t like talking to most people…
