I made another post talking about bots, but now it’s gotten really bad. I honestly don’t want to play the game anymore if this is all it is. I just started playing again after a few months off, and I was actually facing real people for my first 10-20 games. Didn’t know the meta at first so I was losing, but I quickly built a busted deck and I have a 93% win-rate now.
I’ve always hit legend whenever I play and I was actually playing real people for a bit, so I don’t think this is an MMR issue, but in my last 30-40 games, every single one has been a bot. The names range from “InkyKodo” to “fjjisai” and then some names with Asian characters. These all play the exact same and I’m pretty sure they’re all bots.
To make matters worse, these bots are freaking slow. My last few matches, they’re roping every turn from 7 onwards. I can usually beat them in 5-8 minutes, but my last game was over 19 minutes! Rope… rope… rope… rope… yeah I could just play a face deck and beat them a bit faster, but I don’t want to do that. I don’t find that fun. I’m just wasting my time.
I get why you have bots, although they really should be opt in… but for the love of all that is sacred, SPEED THEM UP!
I’ve also noticed that lately, almost every time I use Prison of Yogg Saron against em, instead of doing anything detrimental, it ends up hugely buffing their troops and/or restoring their health…
Those bots are NOT operated by Blizzard. They’re private, unauthorized bots for black market gold farming. They’re slow because XP gain is based on time in game (and whether you win or not).
Ah, okay that makes sense. I thought they were blizz bots because they have the same naming conventions, but I see how it would be easy for third parties to just replicate that. They also show up in recent opponents which I learned is not the case with Blizz bots. It’s very sad how infested the game is with bots.
I thought I had finally started facing real people again at Diamond 5, but then I randomly started playing suspicious alchemist and half of my opponents just break lol.
I get that haha. Had a game yesterday against mech rogue, I needed to survive one more turn to win and I had 3 hp left. My opponent had zero cards in hand and on board. Around 15 cards left in the deck. Gets the 1 in 15 to top deck the titan (the only face damage in the deck) and then since I had two minions on board he gets a 1 in 3 to hit my face and kill me. Sometimes it feels like the game wants you to lose, but that’s just the game’s nature.
there are both private bots and blizzard bots, the private ones farm while the blizzard ones are structured to block excessive victories of those who play f2p, or those who play in the arena especially using gold, I have the proof, I created a new account I paid the entrance fees in arena with real money and the average has increased by 2 compared to f2p accesses, this is a sensational scam and unfortunately there is no law to prevent blizzard from doing what it wants in its little game, but the 1600 layoffs ordered by microsoft give an idea of what happens….dear blizzy whoever sows…reaps
I’m playing against a bot now, it’s name is YFPKRBePe and it’s runnning core set, only attack in the face, doesn’t attack minion ever and it loose it’s turn if I play a taunt…
There are way less bots in ranked wild but Standard is ONLY BOTS since bronze rank and I’m gold 6 now…
I don’t know about arena, or the other game modes; but have noticed in BGs that there are an increase with names like fshnmfcoskh, SxDaVYjKQQ, and other face-rolled over the keyboard looking ones. Don’t know if those are bots but I do know they stick to minions level 3 and below. They’re usually the first to be eliminated, too.
I totally understand ya here. The other day. I was down to nine hit points, my opponent had one card in hand and no board. He had one card left from excavate reward and draws a miner. Starts his second excavate process with miner discovers a two cost naval mine from it plays it and plays the warlock death rattle trigger card. 8 to face and one more from weapon for lethal
