After restarting hearthstone to move to the new ‘year’ several cards are missing from my collection.
I did not disenchant them. I discovered the issue because cards are suddenly ‘missing’ from decks that worked 2 hours ago.
They are not in my Wild Collection.
They are gone as if I never owned or crafted them.
Examples: Alexstrasza the Life-Binder and Ysera the Dreamer from a deck I had them in.
Those were core cards. The core cards were changed today. Those cards are no longer available in Standard.

Funny how people raise such a fuss when these cards are REMOVED, but they apparently just took it for granted when these cards were ADDED a year ago…
I really don’t understand the principle of removing a card and allowing it to be bought with dust, it’s downright theft
These cards have been loaned to you for free as part of the core set.
Core set can be changed each year and cards replaced.
Cards have been removed, cards have been added.
You cannot play with some cards anymore unless you craft them, but you also can play with cards you haven’t crafted
It’s not theft to take back something youv’e loaned, at the time it was planned that you’d take it back.
if you rent a car for a week, and the ask for it back after a week, is that theft?
I dont take any card for granted as I am a f2p player who exclusively plays wild. Alexstrasza the Life-Binder I crafted myself as I need it in my corrupted warlock build. And have had it since it became core in 2021. Tickitus came out in 2020 and she was the best card to add to get corruption into my build as is heals. I also crafted Grand Totem Eys’or to play my only two decks I play. Totem shammy and corrupted warlock. Both grand totem and alex dissappeared. I always take screenshots to prove I crafted these cards. So I have physical proof of me crafting these cards. Because it has happened to me before. And now I can not contact blizzard about it. since they removed their ticket option.
I hate blizzard for making it impossible to get my cards back that I crafted from my hard earned grinds and own dust.
Everyone had Alexstrasza the Life-Binder since it became Core. That’s how Core works. Core cards are uncraftable and are given to all players on a temporary basis. It was not possible for anyone to craft Alexstrasza before yesterday.
Some cards were made specifically for Core and have now been added to Legacy. No one owned them. Everyone who wants to play them in Wild needs to either craft them or open a Wild pack and hope to get them (Wild packs are going to be the best way to get the commons and rares due to duplicate protection but epics and legendaries would probably take way too long to get that way unless they have almost a full collection.)

If your missing card is not on this list, and you crafted it and didn’t disenchant it, then it’s still in your collection. Search for the card and you will find it, and you can pull the core card out of your deck and put the Wild one in.
Core cards cannot be crafted nor disenchanted, so no, you did not craft that card.
Alexstrasza was added to the Core set in 2021, and remained there until yesterday.
It’s hard to take these bug reports seriously when people say things that are impossible…
What happens if you craft a card and it gets moved to the core set the next year? Do you get dust refunds?
You have one/two new copies of that card. One set from the original expansion, found under that expansion’s filter, with the expansion’s watermark in the text box. One set under the Core filter with the year of the Pegasus watermark on the text box. You won’t get any dust unless you dust the original expansion cards yourself.
Your collection would now have Core copies of that card, in addition to the copies you already owned. So, for practical purposes, nothing would really happen at all.
Why would you expect a “refund”? You didn’t lose anything. You would still own the original expansion version of the cards. They would still be in your collection.
I got the same problem, missing 27 cards from my collection. I used to own all the cards in the game, but now I don’t because of this scam. It’s so sad to see so many shills apologize for Blizzard, and claim the cards are “loaned”…. These are the same people who get a pay cut at work or less hours then thank their boss!
Blizzard said long ago, that cards we earned to our collection would stay there forever. Now they wanna go back on that, or have faulty coding and when the set changes the cards get deleted from your collection. It’s unacceptable, and I want to be made whole again or I’m leaving the game after 10 years and thousands of dollars spent!
you didnt earn the core set, they just let you use it for free
Some cards were created specifically for the Core set and were never part of any expansion. So when they rotated out from Core, they vanished from your collection.
“I own every card from every expansion” is not the same as “I own every card”, because some cards were NEVER in an expansion.
