New Warrior Legendary spell - Blackrock n Roll

This game balance around effect. Not around status.

Even evolve shaman highrolling 10 drops on turn 1/2 wasn’t strong enough to break the game before the miniset. Or before those 10 drops got actually powerful in board effects.

They screwed up the border art on this card. The head of the art team should be ashamed of himself for overlooking it. He should probably be reprimanded for a mistake like that. This isn’t a warrior card at all. It’s a rogue card. Because jackpot and trickster are both still in standard for another year. Stash and tess may be rotating, but that won’t stop rogue from finding this a few times and messing you up with it. It’s gonna make for some reeeeallly biiiiiiig krabatoas.

having theron and this one shoudlnt that help you with that ?

Thia card needs to be 3 mana and start in hand

Fortunately, we’ve got less than 10 hours until the next Warrior reveal. Maybe we’ll get some more info, like the class weapon. The weapon needs to be good for Control since Outrider’s Axe is rotating out and the only other weapons are Imbued Axe (no reason for Control Warrior to use it) and Remornia (which is 7-mana and almost not actually a weapon).

It would be cool to see Warrior get something like Recruit support. Big Warrior has worked in the past (Dimensional Ripper, Master Oakheart, Woecleaver) but you run the risk of actually recruiting the minions that would buff your minions (pulling Master Oakheart or Varian Wrynn or The Boom Reaver or Lor’themar). BRnR being a spell means you can’t accidentally ruin your whole strategy by recruiting it out onto the board.

This spell actually fits warrior’s current toolkit quite well, but needs to be 4 mana or at least buff your hand too. The tempo loss of a do-nothing turn 5 (or later) means death most of the times unless you run a consistent control package; which means less actual threats in your deck to be buffed with this. A 12 damage remornia is a really cool wincon on its own tho, but hard to pull off as things stand.

Either they reveal some sort of fire spell tutor and mana cheat to go with it, or this iteration of warrior is as dead as all the others. Maybe if they release some sort of cheap, high-tempo taunt package you might be able to be ahead on board long enough to play this safely? We shall see.

Should have overload 2

it does go well with thori’belore, that can be played turn earlier, with more fire spells, that card might be playable.

Warrior needs some armor generation on par or better than druid to make this card useful…and better tutoring. Dredge cards exist but they only pick up the bottom 3, it doesn’t help if this card is sitting a little higher in the stack. Even then, there are classes that will just be able to pick apart those minions or ignore them and keep going face. Seems like Blizzard wants to push warrior back into a big taunt minion style but the game is really too fast nowadays to make that feasible. Besides…big minions can be dealt with. Sorry warrior, you’re still no druid.

It bears repeating that this style of Warrior will struggle against Blood DK and get ruined by Control/Thief Priest. Mind Eater will copy buffs you apply with BRnR and Lorthemar, and Priest will draw and play your own cards before you do.

Again, not really seeing how this is supposed to compete with Tony Warrior in the grand scheme of things.

This could have been good in 2014 hearthstone but in 2023 hearstone this nerfs just about every minion in your deck.

It adds stats, not replaces them.

Why are some of the spells fun and high impact and others literally snooze fests which take until the end of time to feel satisfying

Its a legendary card it should feel impactful when you play it. Not take 2/3/4 turns to see the value

The death knight spell does damage and summons a board of minions

The rogue spell enables you to do crazy combos and degenerate stuff

Then you turn the corner and its like,

Shaman, you get a 7 mana ragnaros

This…. This is boring trash

Blizz be like: ‘me lyke moar statz’

Warrior be like: 12/13 boulderfist ogre on curve, watch out lads.

DK be like: obliterate :face_with_head_bandage: ow 3 damage

I feel like there’s some combo we don’t know about that makes this good. If there isn’t, then this doesn’t help warrior’s current situation.

Fier-ier War Axe: 3 mana 3/2, Deathrattle: Draw (1) Fire spell. Gain Armor to improve.

I can dream.

Its actually not a conspiracy that warrior is weak. If you listen to a podcast interview with Cora, a hearthstone developer, she said that they purposely made warrior bad the previous sets and knew that enrage warrior was going to be weak and that they do not see buffing warrior not breaking the game balance(as if they know what this is) so minimal support was given to warrior even though it has been the worst class for almost a year now. I assume that unless their design philosophy changes regarding warrior, the class will continue to be trash tier as evidenced by this trash legendary.

Here is a video of zeddy hearthstone discussing this podcast. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vUfldMbo_48&t=50s

This also makes me wonder why the heck To The Stand doesn’t also give armor. They’ve given Warrior a lot of Priest style cards lately where they have an effect that has an alternative elsewhere that’s better but because the card is in a class that can play a Late Game deck it has to have a power tax on it.

I definitely mis-read the effect on first glance thinking it turns an 8 mana minion into an 8/8. The fact that it adds the stats makes it significantly more playable, but not consistent enough to be considered deck defining. Unless this fits into some kind of Charge Warrior archetype, I don’t really think it sees much meaningful play.

Y’all are all missing the brokenness… Freebird is now 6/6 and buffs itself further!

It’s pretty silly with Naga giants

You guys are way off base. Trenchstalker is the obvious payoff for a card like this. But I don’t see how you build the deck to win consistently
