i see alot of control cards i just hope they can stand against massive aggro pressure and dont get nerfed for doing so.

Expect 5 or 6vhp on this… Feels bad in that case.

its kinda bad, like really bad, but hey warrior is still gonna be great

if it gets buffed its still kinda meh, not worth the deck slot to me

Isn’t Lothar suppose to be a paladin???

:::puts on lore nerd glasses::

Lothar is a warrior. He started fighting the Horde before the concept of human/Alliance paladins (the Silver Hand) was founded. The first Silver Hand were warriors and clerics basically cross training so they can both heal and smack faces, but AFAIK Lothar was not one of them. He was like… the commander of all the Alliance forces at the time, so he was probably too busy ;p

Lothar was never a Paladin.

This card looks incredibly weak.

They could have added more health to it.

If you drop this on an empty board you just played a War Golem for your opponent to remove on their turn.

Complete garbage.

Hope I’m wrong.

It’s amazing how: My initial impression of this card doesn’t match up with anything anyone else said in this thread.

It’s also amazing how many different takes on the same thing there can be. I see people literally contradicting one another.

“…are not a good player.”

Also, it’s a 7 7 7, pretty balanced on its own.

Also, it may miss 1 end of turn opportunity if the board is empty. But if your opponent can’t clear it that turn, it can continue its end of turn shenanigan’s.

Well you’re also not a good player if you don’t spend your mana.

If it’s turn 7 and you have this, you play it.

No one skips their turn, floats 7 mana, and wins the game.

This literally never happens so we don’t have to worry about that hypothetical.

Removal is dirt cheap and every class has it.

The point is, this card is not worth a deck slot even if it was played on curve.

It’s trash.

Kind of like Turalyon (Paladin Legendary).

It looks cool and people will say it’s good (try and justify it) but the practical truth is no one will ever play it after the hype and experimenting dies down.

It will just kind of sit in the collection and look spiffy.

Its like a weaker deathwing. You buff it in hand with the 3/6 minion, and the warrior spell, so it’s ll usually be at least a 9/9 or a 10/10 . Turn7 , its remove a minion and go to 13/X health. So basically, at least do a trade and require a removal, if not several.
1 card for 2+ is always a good deal. then you follow on curve with trouble maker and rattlegore. Ouch.

You’re assuming I have only this card in my hand. Of course I’m not going to sit on 7 mana if I have no other choice.

WHICH IS WHY I went on to say what I said in my post.

WELL!!! I guess I should never play any minions!

Thanks for the tip!

Good news!..

In Rush Warrior it could be a great replacement for Mutanus.

Kind of fits their game plan more.

I’m just thinking about Control Warrior.

But honestly, Conditioning makes every minion much better.

But it’s not the card that’s good but Conditioning that is nuts in Rush Warrior.

This card looks pretty solid to me: of course, it doesn’t win you the game, but play this against a board deck and the opponent will be in trouble.

Look at it as a 7/7, rush, get +3+3. If it survives 1 turn, it gains windfury (almost).

Still weaker than illidari inquisitor, but we are getting closer to illidari inquisitor power level with this :joy: (closer = still very far)

There weren’t Paladins during Lothar’s time

Seems pretty good, without being extraordinary. Having a hard time seeing most current warrior deck not running this… while it might not win you the game, it’s a decent card that requires immediately attention from your opponent!

Buff Grandpa who can clean up your opponent’s board in between sets. Honestly, it’s a fun design and might even be a pretty solid card.

they sure were in WC2

No, he was always a warrior. His second in command was Turalyon (a Paladin), so maybe you are thinking of him.
