New Warlock Card: "WHEEL OF DEATH!"

Well yeah. Odyn is like if you took this spell, kept your deck, shaved a couple turns off of it AND gave it an 8/8 body

Yes, I agree why I’ve stated this card is bad multiple times

I still don’t think they should print the words “Destroy the enemy hero” on cards period (the only acceptable answer I’ve seen was Shard with Xyrella Questline and maybe Mecha’thun)

Anyone reeing over this card takes this game way too seriously

Excuse me, I am not native english speaker, but for my understanding the word “unconditional” means without any condition, right? I think “survive 5 more turns after playing this card and your deck is destroyed to blow your opponent face” is condition clear as day.
The words have meaning and if I am right, please, use them correctly. If I am not I apologise. And I am speaking generaly.

In short, the card’s meme-tier trash. It only helps to dilute the pool of legendaries.

My prediction :

This card sees play on day 1 of the expansion.
I will play it to ensure my prediction becomes reality.

I feel like this is just there to be a Whammy for stuff that randomly generates cards to ones with a higher mana cost like Energy Shaper. Won’t be surprise though if they make more cards to synergize with this so that it actually works outside of meme tier.

Pretty sure they’re doing this on purpose, but I see right now there are a couple cards that might work with this new spell… but they’ll be rotating.

One is the lock’s 3 mana 3/3 that with DR that discounts highest cost shadow spell by 3
The other is tome tampering, which lets lock shuffle 1 cost copy of his hand back into their deck.

Now, while it doesn’t look too good now, let’s remember what the new lock thing is: sludges, which activate when card is destroyed.

A lock could in theory purposely not destroy his own sludges so that playing wheel of death includes basically a board clear (or rather another board clear, as they’ll likely be running lots of stalls and removals in their deck)

And unless you’re reno (or lock running the new twisting nether that destroys locations), lock also have their titan to constantly spawn imps to deter you if not attack you back.

But as said by someone else, lock after desetroying their deck can always reno to buy him another turn or two.

Basically if you’re a slower deck that don’t have win condition from hand, you will likely get removed too many times to kill the lock in time.

In the end, we’re basically back to the same old answer: either go hyper aggro, or go for some OTK from hand (that’s fast enough to blow through the lock’s heals and stalls).

On the one hand I hope its a waste of a legendary card because no one wants that priest shard thing back in the game (10 mana win game how fun).

On the other hand I suspect there will probably be some supporting cards as suggested… Mabye a ‘your next fatigue damage heals’ which would also synergize with the fatigue package.

But if the revealed cards dont synergize somehow its kind of annoying to see a legendary card which there are only a handful a year wasted on a gimmick.

Oh my goodness, it’s beautiful .

Just what every Warlock in the world want’s… A card that just DESTROYS THE ENEMY HERO! How perfect! How wonderful!

“Gul’dan walks out on the stage”.
Congratulations Uther, you’ve won our finest prize…
“Out comes the Wheel of Death”
spectators cheering frantically
Can he do it folks? Can Uther survive the next 5 turns before certain Doom? IT’S TIME TO FIND OUT!!
“Swirl of green, purple, an red magic start to form up. Some spectators get their souls siphoned for extra effects”.

Lol, as far as the card goes I actually like it. It’s kinda reminds me of Mecha’thun to be honest. A card people thought had a very tough condition to activate, yet it became meta.

I see some people think of ways to stop fatigue and people have forgotten one amazing Warlock card for that… Symphony of Sins lol. Dude, if Finley was still around even better. Like the 3 best cards for this is prob Symphony for added cards to deck. Soul Freeze to tank some damage from minions, an Gift of Gul’dan. Yes, Harp is good, Sargeras could help.

The truth is Warlock could find better ways to finish an opponent than a gruesome death by “Wheel of Death”. :joy: But hey, sometimes we just want to watch our opponents panic over certain Doom…An that’s a very in flavor Warlock thing to want.

There isn’t a combo deck out there that’s good where it requires you to have 6 specific cards in hand before you can play 1. This is even worse than that. That combo that was mentioned requires you to have 5-6 cards OTHER than this card in hand before you play it. I challenge you to play against the Innkeeper and try to set up a scenario where you need a specific 5 cards in hand before you play the 6th and see how that goes for you.

Chances are, one of those 6 cards are on the bottom 5 of the deck. The odds of getting all of them by turn 8 alone is extremely low.

Even combo pieces in the past where you need 2-3 cards in hand before you play the other card were fairly bad.

For example, ask any single Warrior player here how often they get Remonia and Trenchstalker to NOT be drawn before they play Lorthemar and Black Rock and Roll. It’s not common at all. And that combo is easier than the one stated above.

but it may be fun to play after droping sargeras for its taunts

This card will either be OP or useless

This card should be made neutral. Or create a card that makes the games last at most 14 turns.

Excavate Pally as well, when playing against control matchups

Shaman with his Bioluminiscence + burn

It will 100% be completely useless.

It’s warlock. someone will find some way to make a deck with this so feels-bad it gets sentiment nerfed 3 days after release. Then the card will get un-nerfed, buffed, nerfed again then changed to ‘destroy your opponent’s deck and kick sand in their face’ and somehow people will now think that feels less bad. Until it rotates to wild.

Quite disappointed with this card. I don’t think it looks interesting at all (I don’t like legendary spells in general anyway as I feel legendary cards should have personality and this one looks incredibly bland to me, even for a spell). The effect seems really bad and will need a lot of support to not simply be a waste of a legendary slot. Reminds me of Final Countdown in Yu Gi Oh. The card had some moments where it was powerful as a build around but it was never interesting to play.

Naga dh is solitaire as it us because there is no interaction with this card oh i played it I’m gonna win the game.

Caed looks of course super slow but if any point this becomes good it’s gonna be the worst meta ever.

Two other gripes with this card I forgot to mention. The art work is really subpar. There will probably be a signature version but honestly, this concept has so much artistic potential and they just kinda drew an Ouija pizza. The name is disappointing also. This is a doom effect. Wheel of doom would have been more appropriate. Neither of these things are a particularly massive deal but this feels like a significant lack of effort went into creating this card.
