New solo adventure = yawn fest

People whined about how hard the solo content was. They got what they wanted.

There were several times I wondered aloud, “Who the f put this crap together?”

It’s just further evidence to me that the dev team doesn’t actually really, really play this game. Maybe some do, but someone who makes decisions has no clue.

One thing I wish is that the “create a water elemental” hero power existed.
So good. But FLJ was too good, so this seems the same.

It could exist as a spell card. Demon hunter got Metamorphosis. It’s a shame that the Warcraft 1 water elementals aren’t really in this game. Those things were real monsters.

It was boring as… Idk, I would apriciate if they put a litle bit more effort and imagination in it.

Story was boring, matches were too easy, spent too much time mashing my mouse trying to get through dialogue faster.

Not a fan to put it mildly :

  • I blundered through the battles. Didn’t matter how many misplays I made. Won anyways.
  • All the battles blurred together. Cause no game plan was needed, no boss fight stuck in my memory.
  • just when I was about to win one of the battles the game goes completely overkill by granting me OP assistance I didn’t need nor ask for. Jeez, who fudges up so hard they need this?
  • I already knew the storyline but this must’ve been one of the dryest story expositions I ever had the displeasure of sitting through.

One positive note : there was no rhyming involved :grin:

the pve mode is here for the storyline, if you want some challenge, go reach #1 legend, wait…you can’t even reach the dumpster

Definitely agree. You can only listen to the same story so many times. It’s just really old at this point for me.

Though it’d be one thing if the voice acting and storytelling was done better, but it wasn’t. It was just a subpar version of what we saw in WC/WoW. Everyone sounded so off.

And just doesn’t make any sense to re-tell these stories when we have the unique setting of hearthstone, which doesn’t have to be bound by lore the same way WoW does.

And it’s not just the same story as in WoW. It’s basically a retelling of stories we’ve had in other adventure with characters replaced: hero does hero stuff-> someone helps -> helper becomes enemy -> all is well again.

And if they made it difficult we’d have another hundreds of threads of people complaining 'It’s too hard! I am quitting the game. Why, Blizzard, why? :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:’. You can’t make everyone happy. So they’ll design the encounters to whatever difficulty they see fit.

Remember the 10 or so threads whining about how hard the DH unlocking solo adventure was? Or all the times people whined about how unfair dungeon run bosses were? This is what has come of that.

You know I really liked the adventure. It was simple but fun and I enjoyed the water elemental hero power, similar to FLJ’s effect. I’m excited for the next hero, which I’ve heard will be Rexxar.

It definitely got harder after the nerfs.

Yup. I remember a friend who asked for help to complete the DH storyline.

I was confused at first. But when I watched him play it all made sense. He was a ‘coin hero power’ player.

That’s a whole new lvl of noob I hadn’t seen in a while.
