This seems like a very different take on Murloc synergy.
But potentially very strong since it goes face as well as hitting the board. It’s sort of like Ras, but with a different trigger.
Also, the flavor text: Diss tracks spitting straight fire.
This could be super spooky or meh, depending on how much other murlocs cost. I’m intrigued.
The chosen one has arrived. At the very least, this could burn some stuff in Wild. I’m not sure if murlocs have the numbers to make this good in Standard this expansion.
I’m surprised this is considered a legendary card, especially with how many bad murlocs are in standard rn. Unless shaman gets another decent murloc, I think its still bad.
I am so ready for this murloc shaman deck. I do hope shaman gets even more murlocs, but i’m gonna try to make it work regardless. if nothing else, there will always be wild with underbelly angler
Altruis the marginal on murglglglgl. On a 2 mana stick.
I hate them in paladin love them in shaman bring on the murlocs! MRGLRLRLLRLRLRLRLRLR
This looks like a potentially strong card if murlocs get support because right now the murloc options for shaman are pretty weak there’s:
Magic Fin
Prize Vendor
Circus Amalgam
Crab Rider
Fishy Flyer
Felfin Navigator
Murloc Tinyfin
Murloc Tidecaller
Murloc Tidehunter
Murloc Seer
There’s gotta be a few good, cheap ones in this set or near future sets to make this work because with what we can see today there’s not enough there. A lot of the good ones like Scargill and Underbelly Angler are rotating so this is gonna need a lot of help to get there.
Yeah they always felt so out of place in Paladin, even in Warlock they make sense and don’t get me started on mechs in Paladin again and Warrior
I see a future where Odd Paladins start pissing themselves when this is played.
lol? they’ll just kill it with a weapon or before it gets going.
It’s actually pretty dang good because you can discover or get this murloc randomly from murloc generation. If you get 2 on board, which is very likely, you’re really going to be putting out a lot of pressure.
That is actually a LOL statement there.
Anyone who has played Murloc Shaman in Wild, especially the Quest variants, know better than to play this on turn 2 or Coin this out on Turn 1. Basically, this nasty little ****er here is more than likely going to be used on something like turn 4 or 5, accomplishing two things: Torch the **** out of any token or aggro deck, and help build up a board that your opponent has to deal with RIGHT ****ING NOW. I would be SHOCKED if this card was played without a followup of either Coldlight Seer or Rockpool Hunter to get it out of the range of Rallying Blade, essentially the only weapon in the range of this card that Odd Paladin uses to take it out immediately.
In addition, Megafin and Undercity Angler can pseudo draw this little ****** just to pour the salt on. Meaning that you may have taken care of the one that was the authentic copy, but now you have to worry about one coming around later in the game and basically nuke your precious tokens while your Murloc Shaman opponent gets his fish buddies yoked.
I would not be surprised if this has an immediate impact on the Wild scene.
By the way, there are three huge weaknesses for Odd Paladin: They can’t heal for ****, they have terrible card draw - it would be non-existent without Divine Favor, and there’s no board clear for the Odd Paladin, because I don’t know how many would seriously consider running Equality.
That’s half the fun with new cards… trying to make cards work
This is the equivalent of saying ‘lol altruis is bad’ cause they’ll kill him immediately.
Do you see altruis played on curve ?
Yeah my first thought was how similar this is to Altruis, potentially a card that might be very frustrating to play against especially at 2 mana. But yeah it’s entirely dependant on what Murloc cards we got coming up, and cards like Underbelly Angler leaving is going to be a big loss aswell for this kind of deck, but we will see.
Looks weird.
Shamans probably getting some Murloc Generators.
Altruis.
Firemancer Flurgl.
WTB Rushless Sea Giants instead.
6/5 Power
If they don’t get Murloc support this card is super meh.
Its a weak control tool against aggro decks I feel. Might be OK against aggro stealth Rogue but there’s so little murloc synergy
Murloc mirror match should be fun.
