New Shaman Hero Card: Bru'kan of the Elements

Legendary · Hero · Fractured in Alterac Valley · Battlecry: Call upon the power of two Elements!

For Bru’kan’s Battlecry, you choose two of the Hero Power options. His initial Hero power is one of the two remaining ones.

Each turn, it switches randomly to a new Hero Power from the four options, basically like the Dr. Boom Hero Power.

they nerfed lighting invocation!

i was hoping to see the invocations return the earth one is way better

It’s strong… but it’s 8 mana. This is the first hero card that looks too slow to me; the battlecry can protect you, but not enough to skip 8 mana, and the hero power is good but unreliable value.

Cariel advances some handbuff plan and is clearly meant to make it impossible to combo you to death. Tamsin draws tons of cards and has an AoE with more teeth at an earlier time. Scabbs is Vanish and constant Preperations; we’ve all seen how good both those effects are. Guff is basically a ramp card.

This is the most expensive hero so far, I think, and it’s just kind of generic value and a bit of damage. This is Boom 2.0, and I’m not sure that gets the job done; the Quest gets you the kind of ludicrous value that justifies a slower game, and this is much less payoff.

Seems like a decent fun card to play, but as stated before, its 8 mana. The Shaman questline was good before it got nerfed as it took ages to get Bru Kan

Yes I know what it does. I’m saying a Consecration and a Feral Spirits is too little on turn 8 to make this card worth it, especially since next turn it does literally nothing to the board if you picked those options.

This is a control card what people asked for , along with a 3 mana aoe Freeze Shaman is on a row.

Theres still the 2 mana hero power aoe heal for everything .

I’m not worried about the quests. they’re going to nerf the sh** out of them before the expansion drops. bank on it.

Shaman is able to get to turn 8 fairly easily right now. I don’t know what people are talking about. This card sees play. Lots of play.

My only wish was that he fired off all 4 invocations instead of choice of 2. It is 8 mana, after all.

That sounds busted as hell lol

2 seems about right. All 4 is madness.

Looks like the best value engine to me beside quest warrior. Still wondering how a shaman running this as wincondition can hope to beat Quest warrior, quest mage or questlock in long game.

Its not a win con, just a solid card to include in a slower Shaman deck…

If the opponent survives the first Bru’kan turn, bring on the Brilliant Macaws.

is it strong enough for a T8 play, though? its usually the turn you die to quest mage or garrotte rogue.

Control card in a meta where games end around turn 7-8 for pretty much all meta decks…

They would have to power creep multiple control tools in next expansion to change that to fight the overpowered support for decks ending the game reliably on turn 7.

And while its possible for them to do it (based on their display of incompetence) I do not think thats what this game needs unless they wanna really make even more autopilot than it is.
