New Rogue Legendary Maestra

Tess stock just went waaaaaaay up. Play this card, get new hero, play Tess and she replays every single Rogue card you played that game + any other card that isn’t the new hero card class.

Legendary · Minion · Perils in Paradise · Warlock Tourist Battlecry: Discover a Hero card from the past (from another class).

I have a meme deck in wild that you have to jump through hoops and turn your hero into Major Domo just to do this effect, and now you can do that same effect with this single card. Absolutely nuts.

Poor Mall. Gonna be so mad seeing Jaina in standard… but only played in Rogue

This card should have been a neutral legendary. Making it rogue seems ike a huge mistake.

If you shadowstep this and go back to being a Rogue somehow, will tess re-play the first hero card? and what happens if tess is mid-battlecry when switching away from rogue?

So rogues can be any hero… paladins can be rogues… mages can be paladins… They’ve essentially turned standard into wild without boundaries.

I have to imagine it will take an entire year to read through the first balance patch notes.

I also have to imagine games are going to get shorter, more lopsided, and be decided entirely by highroll/rng nonsense

If you shadow step this and go back to being a Rogue then Tess will replay the other hero card.

I got bamboozled by Maestra and went on rant over Demon Hunter, well done Blizzard playing on my dark emotions.

I have no issues with this card on Rogue but on Demon Hunter it would give me an aneurysm.

Would it matter? Rogue would still be able to play Tess and replay every single rogue card again that game.

Neutral would give other classes access to other heroes, but that’s not really super strong and it’s definitely more if a Rogue thing to do this.

im going to looooooooove this one so much i have to craft her if i dont pull it

i already see people complaining about "tweeeeeeenty mana!"and other plays well be able to pull with this!!!
im going to enjoy this card a lot !

See, this is what I was talking about in the other thread

Ya’ll were too optimistic thinking every new card from class X is also a tourist card for class Y, but that’s not true

Tourist cards have the “Class Y tourist card” tag on it, just like this one

how is demon hunter going to copy it ? priest can with the location but i dont see how DH will do it

You didnt saw the reveal???
Blizzard tricked everyone saying it would be a Demon Hunter card, then Maestra showed up.

Blizzard knows people cant stand Demon Hunter and did a switcheroo.

My wild deck is so fun but it’s so incredibly hard to pull off. With this, it’s so easy and you can do insane stuff if you replay all your Rogue cards that game.

Sure, it sounds awesome… but people really don’t know all the combos because they likely have never seen this combo.

In wild, I get infinite stealth and immune for example.

People are in for a treat and the Tess combo is 100000% going to be complained about.

Imagine original Shudderwock… but instead of battlecry only it’s literally every single card.

like rogue really need this it can already do stupid stuff already without running out of steam.

I’m not sure what you mean here.

Every lock card can be put into rogue if they run Maestra (minus the tourist lock will get because of the 1 per deck restriction).

That was how they were originally announced. It was so what obvious it didn’t go further than that.

I’ve seen the cloak of shadows/vanish combo a few times with majordomo. It is just like hostage shudderwock, very irritating when it goes off

Wait, I’m not sure I understand

If you put 1 “X tourist” card in your deck, then you can put up to 6 “class X” cards in your deck?

I thought you can put up to 6 such cards and they all have to have “X tourist” tag

If rogue puts Maestra in, they can include all of the PiP warlock cards except their tourist legendary in the deck.

Original Maestra was trickly to play with since you basically had to stick with playing neutrals for a while, and then you’re hoping to discover cards from that other class or get some mileage out of a different basic hero power. Top it off you can’t even control which class you masquerade as. The most useful thing might be that when you draw rogue cards as the other class, it discounts wildpaw gnoll which was crucial back then for rogues to flip the board and start doing their thief thing.

This is super power creeped of that. You can discover the hero/class you want. You don’t have to play with neutrals. You are sure to get an advanced hero power. Oh and you get to tourist warlock cards.

The biggest cost is running a subpar body that doesn’t do anything else (but then again, original maestra was a 2 mana 3/2)

Looking through card library (apparently you can search it in game client with “type:hero”) to refresh my memory.

Alterac gave everyone a hero
Frozen Throne gave everyone except DK/DH (they weren’t out back then)
Galakrond was available to priest, rogue, shaman, and warrior.

Then there are the odd ones on occasion

Hunter had Zul’jin from Rasta (his battlecry is basically Tess but with spells)
Mage got Amzing Reno from galakrond (let’s go HL rogue and you end up playing two renos for 2 poofs)
Shaman got Hagatha from witchwood and al’akir from caverns of time (wild only set but I think it should show up, people who stuck to standard for a while will be in for a surprise)
Lock has the OG hero card Jaraxxus
Warrior got Dr Boom Mad Genius from boomsday

Shadowstepping until I get Guff, because 20 mana rogue will be magnificent.

As rogue you put maestra in your deck. You can now build your rogue deck normal and you can also add every single warlock card in your deck that you want from this expansion except for the warlock tourist card
