A nice defensive spell for Rogue. It doesn’t protect from everything, but it does stop a lot.
Time Out rogue’s version, I like it as flavor.
Absolutely gross card that is basically ice block for rogue. Rogue will definitely like this. 5/5 power. Name 5 cards this doesnt stop off the top of your head. I cant do it. Stealth is ultra powerful.
Cool card but unless you’re stalling for a specific combo to come together I don’t think this does enough for 3 mana. Time Out saw play to stall for a combo to come together. I don’t think this is generically good enough to make the cut
It’s basically DK Valeera’s Battlecry being brought into Standard as a standalone spell.
I was hoping we’d eventually something like this for either Rogue or maybe Mage (as Invisibility for the latter).
Aggro rogue should love this card. Just stall for a turn or two while you get more face damage going or attack with your huge self sharp weapon
That’s a very passive card for an aggro deck to be running.
Arcane middikes
Greater arcane missiles
The new Tonk
The new blastmeister
The porcupine
C’thun
Flamewaker
Anything randomly generated from Yogg
There are tons more.
Cool flavor. Would be a nice stall for a combo deck rogue currently doesn’t have.
But in reality you’ll mostly see HAHA POGGERS rogues generating this off of random ethereal lackeys to steal games they have no business winning otherwise.
Meh. Not that it’s a bad card, but you need an viable control deck to fit it in.
Pretty strong card not as good as Ice Block or even Time Out but it might help Rogue play for the long game(at least its what i want for the class lol).
C’thun can still dome you for 30. Dont get me wrong, this most of the time is still very strong.
Hmm. Stall for C’thun Rogue, perhaps?
It’s still way too hard for rogue to survive to play stuff like C’thun. Not to mention rogue has 0 synergy with C’thun’s expensive as hell spells.
It’s easier to see C’thun being playable in control warrior, some kind of warlock and maybe quest druid, a deck that cycles/ramps at lightning speed and can cheat out Anubisath in combination with C’thun’s 5 mana spells.
I suppose if Iceblock was played, and this is in many respects comparable. Of course it will only see play in certain decks, and I’m not sure any current Rogue decks would play it.
I played a very greedy deathrattle Rogue Nzoth deck way back on Whispers of the Old Gods , going to return to Rogue again this expansion and im also running 1 of the Gods.
Rogue can do so much more than the current decks reflect they just need a chance(and good cards for it),
So far im happy with what i have seen for the class.
I see a certain potential for rogue to use this on turn 7 and 8, then valeera on turn 9 in wild. As for what else goes in the deck, hyper-draw, invis, face damage spells. You have 4 mana, 5 mana, turn 7 and 8 to deal as much face damage and then a 10 mana turn. Not a highly sophisticate thought at all. But given the cost per each draw, then the cost per each point of face damage in rogue, I think this is fair conceivable. Anyways my point is 1 ice block is pretty damn good, 2 ice blocks is actually not very good at all but then 3 ice blocks is game breaking. Add in elec and myras, then you might even have an extra 2 turns of it.
Watch this card get nerfed. 5/5 broken, most broken card in the set.
This is not near the power level of ice block, I guess.
I agree but rogue has a lot of ways to get more copies of this card in wild. Combined with the ability to draw like 4 cards a turn, I see them going infinite with this. That’s why we needed a mode in wild that has limited sets, but at the same time without the dungeon run aspects, simply put just standard blocks of the past.
You need about 20k dust to do what I’m thinking in an optimal way since it is heavy on legendary and epics, but that doesn’t mean it is not broken. Like you’d need Anka and mecha’thun really to have the best form of this deck or else a kingsbane package since you can infinitely get a cheap 1 mana weapon that will eventually cause lethal.
You sure ?
Aren’t targeted spells unable to hit stealthed minions even if their target are changed to random ?
ie : if Yogg cast a fireball, can it hit a stealthed target ?
