New quest decks are stupidly op

my advise to any players is if you are not running a quest deck yourself as soon as your opponent plays quest card on turn 1 just auto-concede. even if you can pull off the win against them its a major pain in the butt and takes forever to play the hand. just not worth wasting time on.

Or just play the game and it’s fine?

Um, you are objectively wrong.
The top 3 decks according to HSreplay are control warrior (no quest), Murloc Pally (no quest), and Highlander Hunter (no quest.)

Actually all the quests seems fine besides Reborn paladin quest !! Im insta conceding I swear to god.

I just beat one pretty soundly. Then again, it was with shaman quest, so maybe that helps the point?

I play OTK warlock in wild where it’s higher power level and I still can win each matchup against deck with quests. They’re not that strong, it’s you who play weak.

Past 3-days only ONE Quest deck is tier-2 or better… Paladin.

So it becomes apparent that the Quests are not stupidly OP. They are definitely fun imho and are what 7 out of 9 decks revolve around but the data suggests that Quests are FAR from stupidly OP.

Ehm … so how many games do you intent to play in this meta? The ones against mages and warriors?

Rogue: Very fun but very far from unbeatable (I play the deck myself and it really depends on luck). Really no reason to give up

Druid Stronger than most defenders here would make you believe but the deck luckily runs out of steam (at least in Standart) and can be managed until then.

Shaman The strongest of them all and this will arguably become the most annoying quest that sees play because of its conistancy and playrate. It’s also far from unbeatable tho and no one should give up when facing this.

Doesn’t appear to be stronger than Paladin’s, at least not yet.

Seems like the rogue quest was highly overrated. Doesn’t seem to be good.

Guys, he’s prolly playing Quest Shaman and fishing for easy wins.:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Seems like quests were overrated in general. Paladin is the only one looking pretty competitive. Maybe also Shaman if the deck gets refined.

Hack the System is - in this current meta - a sizzling dumpster fire. Not quite what I’d call “OP”…

Druid priest shaman and paladin are only decent quests at the moment

They need to print a weapon tutor for warrior and then the deck might be more viable.

If I were to go by the metric of “If this deck beats Big Priest, it’s good”, Quest Paladin certainly shows some potential.
Probably the only good matchup.

I’m just glad I unterestimated its potential.

Paladin is the only good quest,a quest that serves a function because it gives control paladin a win condition. (and a win condition that suits paladin, winning on the board) The paladin quest is impressive design. Its good but not imbalanced.
All the other quests are weak, could be considered a design issue.
Fun to play around with and make decks the first week and then never see them again.

Functionally great.
But thematically… necromancy?
In Paladin?
Yikes.

Hmm yes that could be,i am not big on lore and I don’t mind mechanics going against lore as long as they are good. But you have a point from that perspective.

To be fair, one of the most famous Paladins in Warcraft lore was also into necromancy big time.
