The 1 drop is meta defining for A LOT of things. The name almost makes it seem like a true joke that it is.
The other cards are shockingly to my surprise all Undead. Like, I was kinda bummed about all the crafting I did for Warlocks Undead cards, but now… Now my Invincible craft I did looking a lot better lol.
Greeaaat. Just what we needed… evolve shaman just became so much stronger lol
Someone please explain to me why one of the strongest decks in the game just got a buff?

The 4 mana card seems bad. If you play it for 4 and your opponent destroys it, you have 0 unspent mana so it doesn’t summon anything.
Thaddius on the other hand might make them change the evolve mechanic to not re-roll into a minion of the same mana cost. In the meantime I will enjoy my free wins every time I highroll into it.

-LOL @ the name. Inb4 people joke about it being the literal description of HS the game
-probably the most meta card from what we’ve seen so far
The 3 drop
-with manathirst this is powercreeped that warrior minion years back, which was 4 mana 3/2 rush reborn
-possible stealth buff to rogue concoction that summons random 3 drop, and… maybe that manathirst neutral that summons a random 3 drop with manathirst 5
-this is arguably better than the current neutral 4 mana 4/4 rush manathirst 7 if you only care for rushing
-one silly use might be with paladins and dun baldr bridge, as you could rush it to die, then the reborn copy gets the +2/+2 again
The 4 drop
-the wording seems to indicate that if it dies on your opponent’s turn, it’ll look at how much mana you had left when you passed your turn… which is probably gonna be close to 0
-that said, this card makes it so you don’t totally lose out if you have like 1 floating mana left at end of your turn
-undead card that supports swarming and rush seems to scream unholy dk, but from my experience unholy dks seem to use up all their mana
-druids with guff can have plenty of mana to make use of the deathrattle, but a druid with guff have better uses for their mana
-infuse (read: sire) happy decks may not mind not spending any mana for a turn when they kill this off to get more bodies to die

-i see people say evolve shaman, but that assumes evolve shaman has 9 drops to evolve into this… if shaman started with something smaller and evolved 2 or more times to reach it, they ought to be winning already since the opponent couldn’t stop him from evolving a minion 2 or more times
edit: ok ok I forgot the gnoll,i’ll keep my blurb above… and really, I think as long as gnoll evolve don’t low roll, it’s already a strong play without thad in the pool, so this may be a case of “yeah it’s strong, but it’s not like it wasn’t strong before”
Sounds like you don’t know how current evolve shaman works. You don’t use a 9 mana minion. You use gnoll. How else do you think Shaman is putting a 12/12 minion on board on turn 2? If they roll this, they just win the game.
The 1-drop is good: a solid one drop for any tribal-focused deck.
The 3-drop seems okay, but probably not hugely exciting.
The 4-drop sounds terrible: the spends all mana condition makes it difficult to get a large board, and even then 2/2s are pretty easy to remove.
Thaddius needs to be cheated out or randomly generated: so, Druid with Guff, Evolve Shaman, maybe Big Undead Warlock with Amorphous Ooze to cheat it out and Infantry Reanimator to bring it back.

Also, don’t forget Rogue getting it with a free Scourge cast… just imagine a turn 3 Scourge hitting this and now Rogue gets 1 cost odd cards instantly.
This card is going to create the worst high rolls ever.
Manathirst only triggers when played from hand, correct? So if there’s no resurrect shenanigans its kinda just meh in this meta.

Pack filler. They know no one is putting that in their deck.
The thing that I find most questionable is the 4-cost having Rush on their tokens. It might be me, but I think they expect us to kill it or combo the turn we play it. Maybe we get a Reckless Experimentor kind of card that discounts and kills deathrattle minions when played or smth. Or I read too much into it and it’s just another pack filler.
Tbh, the new Rivendare also gives me vibes that maybe effects that sacrifice minions will be a theme, which honestly should be more explored, especially on bigger minions.
Arena exists, most neutral cards are designed with that mode in mind.
It’s basically a threat to the opponent playing a wide board early knowing you can wipe it if they don’t care of this first.
Think similar to corporal corporeal on 2 to threaten the opponent playing an important minion without killing corporal first.
Sorry that 1 3 minion with epic tag makes no sense.

Makes sense. Play it on 4, if it survives you get 5 Mana Summon 5 2/2 with Rush if you manage to kill it. Still a bit of a head scratch, unless you play something like Druid and ramp early to get more Mana to fill the effect. Kinda like a delayed Scales of Onyxia, I guess.

Now, seriously, OG Amalgam aka Nightmare Amalgam was an Epic too despite being a simple 3-stated minion. Amalgam of The Deep was Epic too, only Circus Amalgam was made Common and my guess was to make N’Zoth decks at the time a bit more accessible.
The ability to be all minion types can be really cool with the right synergy cards printed, and makes it pretty versatile for multiple tribal archetypes to fill an empty spot. Like, if Dragon decks lack an early Dragon play, this guy could be added. Same for any other tribe. There is a small chance they bring more tribal synergies and this card would shine.
