funny thing is people moving away from mechathun because of slow animations.

simply plottwist and stealer seems to just fine vomit 50 mana on turn 5 or so lul.

no idea if this interaction is intended …inmune doesnt say anything about not paying costs with health

so they can just change the inmune mechanic to not work when paying costs problem solved and without changing the card

If they will nerf this interaction for wild, I expect them to change other things too, because if a turn 5 OTK is a problem, I think there is more than one class that should be adressed

i cant think on any other interactin with new cards in the set for an otk

I’m playing it with Dark Portal no immunity and I’m clearing my opponents deck on turn 5.

I wish I had it set up, I managed to get a discounted Stealer of Souls at turn 1 from Demonic Studies and then landed Joybuzz on the first draw with SOS in play, played Joybuzz and got Y’Shaarj and Tickatus for 1 hp each, then Felsophy, Bran + Tick combo + Y’Shaarj and then an avalanche of 0 cost Tickatus.

I think printing a card that deletes your opponents cards/deck is just stupid.

Clearly, I’m not a “worthy opponent.”

Well, when they printed Rin, it at least took a bunch of turns to do.

It’s a temporary arrangement, Stealer of Souls is going to get nerfed, Warlocks are not allowed to have OTK decks and Dark Portal will revert to meme deck obscurity again.

That’s crazy, I thought it was standard not wild, still crazy.

Mark my words:

This gets nerfed so that the minion reads “The next card you draw costs health”. Guaranteed. There’s really no other way to nerf it.

The sad thing is that they already know Mechathun in wild is a thing and that warlock excels at it and so they didn’t even attempt to test this minion. Mechathun combo in wild is THE FIRST thing any average Hearthstone player thought of. We had people on these very forums calling out this combo the day before release…

I don’t believe they put any serious time in testing broken interactions at all. This is such an easy thing to catch.

I’d prefer they change hero immunity to not allow for the playing of cards that cost health instead of mana. Sure, it’s not as simple a change, but it’s probably better for future design space.

Also, this minion could have been Priest instead of Warlock, since they’d already made G’huun, and that might push Priest in a tempo direction, and also avoid a lot of the massive draw issues that are driven by Warlock class cards. Missed opportunity in my opinion.
