I’m going to choose to look at this positively as confirmation that Conjurer’s Calling is getting hit, because there’s just no way that Blizzard is providing a card that shores up that deck’s bad matchups without nerfing it against the matchups it’s presently strong against.
Other notable implication of this secret: it only goes away after a minion attacks your face, so it’s a great Cloud Prince enabler - especially that 3 damage is so much more impactful than 2 (compared to explosive trap), so your opponent might really not want to activate it.
So rather, this eats its own Heart out.
This is how Explosive Trap should be!
(This is giving me Ice Block Deja Wu now when Evasion was introduced…)
No idea how excactly a dragon mage plays out, but the good cc decks are getting rekt by all warriors as they simply have wayyy to much removal to care about giants…
it does say “after” and not “when”. does this mean the minion that attacks will deal its damage? It also doesn’t hit the hero,it feels kinda weak but I guess its a decent stall against agro. Its a bit difficult to judge this card for me.
Yes, the Mage will take a hit in order for this to go off.
I fear this card, on one side its good to have a early game counter on the other it feels like rushing down the current Cyclone Mage is their only real weakness. And getting stuff to help them there might very well push Cyclone Mage into Tier S.
pfff why do these cards not hit face. Im a mage ffs, i can’t just focus on damaging minions, i need to get this face damage in.
If this card together with that two drop said “to all enemies” instead of just “all enemy minions” they would actualy be good enough to push some old scool mage archetypes in instead of giants-conjurers being an one way route.
Im not saying the card isnt good, but it’s not good enough to change much,
Jeez O.o
I like it. Buff to Keysmith too.
OVERPOWERED.
Not only it clears the board in a secret mage deck (that usually didnt have place for board clears) but it also isnt triggered by weapon attacks which is nuts.
Its probably gonna be nerfed in 4-6 months into deal 3 dmg to all minions
Smart aggro decks will just have to slow down a bit. Which is fine by me, but it does mean CC mage will have to be kept in check. This is discoverable from magic trick, so yeah, very strong, and probably giving the wrong deck support.
Anything that tells stuff like Odd Paladin and Big Priest to go **** itself gets a nod of approval from me.
And anything that helps Quest Cyclown Mage survive, gets disapproval from me.
You know that they’re going to start nerfing **** like Sorcerer’s Apprentice and Cyclone Mage itself if things get out of hand, right? They’ve already done a similar nerf to Reckless Experimenter in a similar fashion.
What, you prefer playing an absolutely braindead face deck that takes no brain function to play?
Quest Cyclown Mage is literally Solitaire.
Big Priest is more interactive than that abomination.
I prefer building my own decks.
The only “skill” involved in that Mage manure, is not having a full hand the moment your quest is completed.
Everything you have just said is about as accurate as saying that Millhouse Manastorm is the most powerful Legendary in the game.
Then you have not played Hearthstone, my dude.
When I play Quest Cyclone Mage, I interact PLENTY with my opponents.
I interact with their board.
I interact with their face.
I interact with their space-time continuum.
It’s very interactive.
Truth be told though, I got kinda bored of it and made a Big Spell Dragon Mage that I’ve been having WAY more fun with. There’s something oddly satisfying about still being at full health when I kill a Renolock, despite his Deathknight and three plays of Reno
That is called abuse, at that point.
And you know it.
He extended his own misery, to be honest. I wouldn’t have had to deal over 140 damage to him if he’d just given up.
