It banks unspent mana for a future giga swing turn, and from a wild perspective adds a spell to progress the quest, fuel for mana cyclone, flamewaker, mana giant. Can’t see it bringing back Quest Mage into this meta but might give it a try nonetheless.

Gonna be good in wild in soreceres apprentice decks, can help you go in 2 turns earlier assuming you drew the right cards. Works good with luna as well. Not as op as people imagine it because paying Mana for that early means you don’t pay that Mana for draw, which makes it less likely to have flamewaker/apprentice but definitely a great tool.
Completely useless in standard, covers 0 of the weaknesses mage has.
Mage is my most played class, and I have not played mage in a while as I"M bored of secret mage. I’m pretty excited to get the mini expansion!!
