New hunter cards revealed(wronchi)

No, but as you pointed below, Hunter occassionally also has viable midrange and Big decks

Heck, I’ve even played a control OTK hunter years ago

The location looks insane, 2 mana reduce the cost of 3 cards by 1. Can create large boards early then finish them with canvasaur. I dont know if they have the battlecries to do it now, but it has a year and a half to get them.

Death roll looks really fun. Any chance I can buff my opponents 1 minion on their board just to death roll it and have it all hit their face?

Sasquawk could be good in a deathrattle hunter deck, though I dont think anything like that exists right now. Even just replaying patchwork pals and some other cheap cards to reload your hand could be pretty decent.

In years before where the power creep and game-ending effects weren’t that overbearing as they are now.

Whizbang already showed us what will be viable in the future. Midrange or Big Hunter is more of a dream than a reality. When you die by turn 5 in a 4-expansion meta, it’s hard to imagine Big Hunter thriving with 5, 6, or 7 expansion metas.

Sure, it might be playable in the future, but who cares about that? These cards seem like they’ll have more impact in Priest now than they will in Hunter. This bird is just lazy filler.

This is basically a reprint of Murozond. You can argue that replaying your opponent’s stuff versus playing your own makes this card unique, but I won’t bother responding to that because it’s nonsensical.

It’s an obvious Murozond reprint.

When you hit the Sasquawk With an egg DR and it only costs 2. That’s when it’s going shine. Especially if you get multiple copies of it and start chaining them.

Uhhh, yes?

That’s an extra taunt, +2 damage, or card draw for the 2 remaining swings.

But let’s just look at highlander hunter and the cards this follows perfectly.

Mukla
Yogg
Unkilliax
Titan
Plush
Any turn where you did a bunch of things (like a Marin wondrous wand)
Reviving all your big beasts

That’s just off the top of my head.

This card is really strong in a lot of applications.

…in Priest.

I very much doubt this card seeing genuine play in Hunter this expansion. It needs way more support. Maybe, in the future.

By the way, this is an obvious control card. That’s why it’ll see play in Priest and not in Hunter.

It can’t be utilized to the extent it should be to see genuine play. (in Hunter)

Perhaps Warrior package is gonna help it now again

You do realize over the last few years hunter has had TONS of decks that go to the late game, right?

Over the years doesn’t count.

Sure, in 2018, this card might have had potential in a late-game Hunter list. But what about nowadays? How many decks can you think of that were allowed to go late in Whizbang’s meta without being just a straight control list?

I’ll give myself some doubt, though. Since Hunter is getting Warrior cards it’s possible a control variant can pop up like that.

The legendary is just Priest’s Murozond 2.0 and I think that’s hilarious because Priest tours Hunter.

If you’re a Hunter player and you think these are all garbage, you have Priest design to thank because now you know what it’s like to be a Priest player and get wonky stuff that feels understatted.

It’s just hilarious to me.

Reno hunter was a listed tier two deck that was played at top 100 legend. That deck absolutely played for the late game.

There’s a modified version of it that’s no longer Reno that’s still being played.

Was listen when?

Before or after Reno becoming 10 mana?

Even in the whizbang meta highlander hunter was frequently a viable deck.

It’s not like I’m talking several years in the past. Hunter has almost continuously had decks that go to turn 7+ that this card would work amazingly in.

You don’t need to be a deck filled with removal cards to see the late game in hearthstone.

Before the ten nerf of reno, it was the best reno deck in standard. Paladin followed it up at a close second.

The Warrior cards will be the deciding factor here. Based on what I see now, I don’t see a viable late-game Hunter list. However, if Warrior provides something worth replaying, there is definitely potential. We just sit and wait for now, no reason to jump the gun, I guess.

Right this exact moment? Hard to say. The meta is recalibrating with the druid whelp ban.

It’s going to also matter what is being played heavily in the next set. That has a bigger impact than anything else.

When control decks are common, for example, you don’t even need to put removal in your deck to get to turn 10 frequently. Your opponents aren’t going to be doing anything threatening anyway.

In any case, the card is very strong. It’s more a question of when, not if it goes into a deck for hunter.

Probably bad in Hunter. These look more like Priest cards with a green border.

So apparently priest got the demon hunter cards and hunter got the priest cards this expansion. Sasquatch is Murozond 2.0. You use it to resummom Amanthul the turn after you play it. And Death Roll is just a board clear for priest. These cards were meant for priest’s with Vol’jin in their deck, because they’re actually white border cards. They just got dipped in the island seaweed and got tinted a bit green around the edges. They LOOK like hunter cards, but if you washed them clean you’d know they were meant for priest.

Also, Wronchi reveals are the best reveals. A+ video as always.
