Mage will get one usable card from pally, while druid will get to make use of every single mage card.
Team 5 never changes.

Spell mage runs cheap spells.

Big spell mage is going to be a COMPLETELY different deck. They literally wont run a spell below the cost of star power. Of course they are going to want a 4 mana 2/7 eith taunt that is going to let you gain 20 health from 1 spell

In Disneyland your combo is possible.

In reality, good luck drawing perfectly while playing against a board centric deck to get some actual value from this horrible 4-cost minion.

If it said you next ‘clear’ has Lifesteal, it might have had potential. This just locks you into inaction, and is a dead draw for certain not only matchups, but also situations where playing it will ruin your flow. Further, it doesn’t even have innate Lifesteal, so you can’t even drop it for pressure. The card just gets worse the more I read it.

Its almost like there is this new 4 drop that draws your lowest cost spell… I wonder if that could be used to guarentee you draw star power…

Also… ITS A 4 MANA 2/7 WITH TAUNT

If your opponent is aggresive, they have to trade half their board into it… it alone saves a ton of damage to your face

Still half the set of Paladin to go, Paladin was never a good fit for Mage anyway.
If Mage gets 3 playable cards it will be a good day for the class.

Years of other classes using Mage cards (sometimes better than it) have refined the formula for them.

That’s no different from any of their previous expansion designs which are filled with archetypes that are wholly unsupported by subsequent sets.

They do not expect every deck to be a tourist deck.

These are not single-class cards. It’s dual-class with an extra step.

It’s very much different.

Archetypes don’t need to be directly supported from subsequent sets, but will have access to the cards to experiment with to bring the deck to a playable level.

Tourist cards won’t have that. It’s all-in now. If it fails, they will/can not see play in later sets.

good news is that this is not “this turn” so you can indeed stall with Star Power or even just use it with a card like Rising Waves (that 3 mana wave clear card we saw for mage)

honestly this looks really bad? like yipee i got maybe 8 damage for 6 mana. its’ expensive, not great in big-spell mage, and just ugh.

Considering according to the dev on reddit the location gives attack equal to Sanc’Aziels’ minion attack, this is absolutely disgusting in handbuff, (can’t wait to see turn 5 sanc’aziel into turn 6 charge pirate + windfury with an extra +20 attack)

It’s life guard with projection orb.

Life guard is nuts. Mage doesn’t get taunts or lifesteal normal and it just got a mass healing spell for BSM.

And if cards suck in their tourist class, they’re still going to be played in the base one.

Why do you think the base class doesn’t matter? The new paladin legendary, especially, is entirely a Paladin card to support an existing Paladin archetype. There is zero utility for a mage whatsoever.

Won’t work. Projection orb doesn’t do damage, the triggered spells do. It’s why Shudderblock-Kalimos can still deal 18 damage to face.

How sure are you? That interaction is a minion casting a spell. This is a spell casting a spell.

If you give projection orb spell damage, do all spells it casts do more spell damage?

yeah, spell damage works with orb, i don’t know if lifesteal works with orb but i’m guessing ummmmmmmmm i hope so i guess lol

Giving Projection Orb lifesteal will only apply to that spell. The other spells are not Projection Orb.

Im not so sure the lifesteal will apply to the cards Orb casts.
Orb itself deals no damage to get lifesteal from it.

Only if it’s on the board or your hero. If there were a “your next spell has sd+1” it would not work.
