More support for “Draw DH!” Again, seems like an extremely aggressive gameplan. Put this together with things like the “card draw package” in TITANS and the aggressive discard/shuffle package in Nathria.
To me there appear to be three obstacles for this deck:
- You want things to be as cheap as possible so you can draw and play many cards since you’re aggressive. Argus is a whole 7 mana and you probably won’t be running Relic of Dimensions.
- The sheer amount of cards that capitalize on card draw means that the deck will need heavy refinement - else you have lots of incentive to draw, but have to cut cards that actually draw!
- You might only have 30 cards and will draw out your deck before you actually kill your opponent. Mindbender and Momentum alleviate that problem but it’s still there. What happens when you’re down to 5 cards and your hand is full of draw like Weight of the World or Sightless Magistrate?
Anyway, as for the cards themselves.
Saronite Shambler looks fantastic because DH is all about those spells and this can still combo with Multi-Strike, Going Down Swinging, and Aldrachi Warblades. Argus can discount it to 0 mana.
Mindbender is Spectral Pillager, but for DH. Doesn’t even require you attack, like most DH burst damage, so it goes over Taunts and can even be removal. This will probably the the keystone finisher in this style of deck.
Sigil of Time is just nasty. 3 mana to draw 3, and you can set up Crystalline Statue, Argunite Golem, and most importantly Momentum.
I fully expect that Aggro DH will find a place after the miniset (remember what Hollow Hound did for Hunter). The Nathria package may fall by the wayside because most of those cards only benefit you if you don’t have a hand at all, and the new TITANS cards will keep your hand stocked all of the time.
Outcast DH can use Glaivetar for burst draw and Mindbender, but if you attack to get the deathrattle, you lose out on Momentum. There are lots of slow decks floating around right now, so Weight of the World might get you tons of cards.
Is there a possibility that we could see an aggro deck with Renathal, just because DH can draw so many cards and has so many payoffs for it? I might actually attempt a Renathal Outcast DH that uses the card draw payoffs, though if you play Outcast right your hand can be SUPER full a lot of the time.
