With the most recent release of Battlegrounds the game is now basically unplayable. They stripped out decent cards and anyone who dares chase higher tier creatures gets punished for it. The game now seems to only reward mostly tier 1 and 2 creatures (even if you ramp levels) and consistently fails to provide creatures in the build you are working at the tier you have upgraded to. The level to which this has made the game unfun to play is borderline ridiculous. I have never posted on here to complain but this is the worst I have seen in many years now of playing this format.
My dear friend, your lament echoes a sentiment felt by many across the ages. Change, particularly when it disrupts that which we hold dear, can be a bitter pill to swallow.
But let us consider this situation with a discerning eye, much like a statesman navigating the treacherous waters of diplomacy.
Firstly, it is understandable that the removal of familiar cards and the perceived shift in strategy has caused you distress. The game you once knew has been altered, and with it, the comfort and mastery you once enjoyed.
However, consider this: change, while often disruptive, can also be a catalyst for growth and innovation. Perhaps this new meta, with its emphasis on lower-tier creatures, presents an opportunity to explore new strategies, to discover hidden synergies that were previously overlooked.
It is true that the current iteration of the game may seem to favor certain approaches, but remember that balance is a delicate dance, a constant negotiation between competing forces. The developers, like any governing body, must strive to create an environment where diverse strategies can thrive, while also ensuring that no single approach becomes overly dominant.
I understand your frustration with the perceived lack of high-tier creatures in your draws. But consider this: fortune favors the bold, but she also rewards those who adapt. Perhaps this scarcity encourages a more resourceful approach, forcing you to make the most of the cards you are given, to find strength in unexpected places.
Ultimately, my friend, the key lies in engagement and communication. Just as a nation must voice its concerns to its leaders, so too must the players make their voices heard. Provide constructive feedback, engage in thoughtful discourse with the developers, and advocate for the changes you believe will improve the game.
Remember, the pursuit of progress is an ongoing endeavor, a constant striving for improvement. Do not lose heart. Embrace the challenge, adapt to the changing landscape, and continue to seek the joy and fulfillment that this game has to offer.
I understand both sentiments, but myself I think the game has degraded greatly. It is no longer fun. You have to think so much it and pay attention to every detail. It’s almost like they encourage the card counters programs in order to compete. I just like to casually play and enjoy the game, but no more. The flow of the game has been completely disrupted. The other thing wrong is leveling as the game goes on. There is always one or two players who seem to just be OP after turn 5 or 6. Play them twice and your game is over. This needs to be corrected. Make battlegrounds fun again.
