I just faced an opponent with a battle-cry shaman deck ending with Shudderwock repeating all battlecries however their turn went on for over 35 minutes straight and would have gone on indefinitely if I hadn’t quit… (I timed it because at a certain point I found it strange that they could continue playing cards without the little rope showing up to indicate there wasn’t much time left on their turn.) It was incredibly frustrating to be unable to do anything but try and wait out an infinite-turn that quite literally had no intention of ending. This is all because the rope/count-down never shows up. The end result is the person playing the Shudderwock gets to have the length of time of multiple turns in one go. Basically the bug completely locks you out. To clarify, the shudderwock card already finished its incredibly long list of repeated battlecries (which already should have had the rope going at some point because when I’ve used a card that repeats all deathrattles, at a certain point the timer will cut it off, and it will forcefully switch to the opponent’s turn, as it should!) Anyway with the Shudderwock, after the battlecries finish, the turn still continues as one of the battlecries is to “repeat last battlecry” which causes you to get trapped in a never-ending loop. It stacked over 30 times before I had to just exit the app! Without the rope timer, they are able to replay it again and again. If repeated deathrattles get cut off in a certain time-frame then battlecries should as well! This is a very well known bug, making it a popular deck as the battlecries avoiding the rope/countdown is like a cheat. I have dealt with this bug on multiple occasions all from any opponent that uses this card. Not once has the rope-countdown appeared or has my turn arrived. Each and everytime I am forced to simply wait as they purposely stack their turn continuously to drive you out until anyone they are facing gets bored of waiting for a turn that will never come, or for the loop to end (which it never will), and decides to just exit. If you don’t leave yourself, neither the game nor their turn will end and the looped battlecries will just repeat endlessly.
Yeah once they play shudder, you may as well quit unless you have a "i win " combo
you might out patience them by letting them also sit unable to do anything til you leave. Think of yourself as Dr Strange vs Dormammu. They are the ones stuck in the loop with you. not the other way around. lol
minimize and watch something lol
This is one of the weakest decks in hearthstone. If you can’t beat them before combos, the problem is with your deck.
When coming up with the game of Hearthstone, i doubt they intended every deck to have won before they got full mana. I personally enjoy the games where both decks have run out of cards and both are scrambling to not die from fatigue damage effects first. My personal favorite isnt how i wish every match to go, mind you, just a different flavor of mindset for the game. If you desire the diet vanilla no caffeine New Coke Crystal Pepsi meta where win condition is set in the starting hand and cant be countered… then you do you.
Typically, disconnecting and reconnecting will bypass all animations and bring you back to the start of your turn. If the rope didn’t actually burn out and/or you didn’t reconnect to the game, it’s likely because you had already lost and the animations just hadn’t caught up.
