These changes are correct.

A mana increase at that point significantly alters the game.
Whomper Druid disappeared when it became 6 mana, and this card is a Legendary, which means you can only run one fewer copy.

They’ve reduced the pressure from Surfalopod, so even if they pull off a ‘cheaty play’ like Skyla into Tsunami, you won’t face as much pressure the turn before.

That certainly is not the Surfalopod change I expected lol.

these clowns managed to proof again they’re completely ignorant and/or incompetent. insane.

edit: found another cheerleading clown:

Not sure if this is peak trolling or just the same blatant ignorance as the devs just have shown. Like, you don’t get a tiny bit less damage next turn but able to still enjoy the full tsunami effect. lol.

Looks like I’ll stay out of ranked longer.

When you run a game you run for both players.
This also includes who play big spell mage and the deck was already not a unbeatable monstruosity even before nerfs.

In fact the nerfs are just to make people chill out a little and play something else.

How many dust should i receive for a Signature Skyla? this only offers me 1600 and i was sure it was 3200, it might be because im on the phone but it’s strange because it already costs 6…

The absolute least they could have done, I think.

I’m just happy I had two golden and 8 regular copies of Surflapod.

Usually they nerf the cards I don’t have duplicates of.

Did they secretly make marin a 11 mana 11/11 or something? These changes are pretty bland for a post mini-set period that has already become really stale.

Exactly the Surf nerf I said lol

I predicted Skyla to 6 and Surfalopod to 5/5.

No changes were required, BSM is a (very popular) Tier 2 deck.

Wasn’t the mulligan winrate on skyla a little high, don’t they usually take that into account in which case these were the “perfect” nerfs

Yeah

Doesn’t mean the deck’s OP

No it doesn’t. The power level is so many dimensions ahead that it won’t change a thing.

So far not much has changed besides mages using 1 extra coin than usual.

Oh look, another thread of Kewl saying something incredibly wrong. I wonder if it gets tiring being constantly wrong.

What the changes tell us is that the devs are perfectly ok with how things were with mage as far as mana cheating big spells goes and they did a 1 mana and stat reduction “nerf” to appease the people pissed off about mages mana cheating 9/10 mana spells on turns 4 or 5 (which they can still do because of all the coins they’re generating now anyways). So…nothing to see here, move along and keep getting stomped by elementals. The devs have done their job and can now go back to figuring out more ways to sell more packs.

Basically they did the correct thing considering the rest of the game.

Yep, it’s not like mage is the only one doing giant boards on turn 5.

They mostly just made sure Skyla isn’t doing it on turn 4 often.
