Changes almost nothing really if it’s 6 mana skyka and stat nerf for surf.

BSM will still be good and people will be here within the first day stating how the nerfs did nothing.

its mostly a battlegrounds patch with bsm tacked on

And a weird buff to shaman to help promote more mini set purchases since they are nerfing the other tourist.

Pretty shameless big tbh.

instead of a mana nerf for skyla they could make a wording change

“swap the costs of 2 spells that started in your deck in your hand”
not sure how to word that

in your hand, that started in your deck

something like that

but hey we get to keep conman

I like how before that tweet, they implied people should be playing more simplistic paladins. My secret is foiled again.

Do any of those saying that Surfalopod wasn’t the second best card in BSM want to take a moment to cope?

i said under the sea was bad

Primary Surfalopod activator is (was) watercolor Artist, UtS was backup

Why would they buff the new shaman tourist and not maestra or any other tourist…? This balance patch looks like it will be dissapointing to me

Sure thing.

It is the second best card in a BSM who have no plan other than trying to highroll their win.

In fact did put the surfalopod thesis to test with 2 friends and both had their winrate skyrocket when they did stop using the card to run the more well founded version.

Not get me wrong. Anything with 50%+ winrate is not necessarilly bad but surfalopod is 100% being nerf with a mana nerf and 100% Just to reduce the turn 4 tsunami highrolls that now can only happen under one specific combination of 5 cards.

If nerf that card is what it takes to make the highrollers stop to play the deck i more than happy to let they even delete the card.

So what’s your predictions, on if the archetype is dying.

Me: it’s dying: nobody is playing it (guaranteed).

My vote is the skyla part of the deck dies and instead mages remember dorian exists and just do a surflapod draw cards deck from hell

That was deliciously delusional, keep em coming

mage players on their way to attempt to gaslight the entire playerbase into thinking a strong card isn’t strong :walking_man:

Well the extra fun part is that I’ve been saying this for more than a week now

Better Go to a objective statement then.

The average card with no ant sinergies is the one who is “good enough” with 50% winrate.

A buildaround has to get atleast 55% for someone to even consider gimping the rest of their deck.
The reason is obvious.

I must be seeing things only 2 nerfs, sounds fishy.
Skyla is eating a 2 mana nerf or the devs are on some powerful narcotics.

This is not how tradition says you nerf Mage.

Maybe they are stopping a little to milk people more.

But yes. I not discarding the 2 mana skyla nerf yet.
