Nerf Watchposts FAST!

Why on Earth EVERY deck I’m facing is completely full of watchposts?
I’ll answer for you: because they are OP!!
The stats are WAY too high for their costs, and everyone is abusing that.
Multiple outposts completely lock the board AND hand.
Nerf it good and nerf it FAST!

If you had tick, they wont be.

You know when every deck, no matter what type, is running them, there is a problem.

Either you have removal and can get them off the board, or you’re screwed and they snowball out of control, and your opponent wins. Very fun…whoever draws watch towers first wins.

Combined, those watch towers are the most played cards of all on HSreplay.

I am actually seriously chocked how many decks were running them an hour after launch. This idea that everyone is just making random decks and trying things out on launch is baloney.

It was clear those 2 watch towers were OP soon after launch, and it took only a few minutes for 90% of hearthstone players to jump on the bandwagon.

They are deceptively strong.

I though Tickatus was going to take over. Watchposts aren’t Tickatus.

the watchposts also just punishes every suboptimal deck that players are trying out after launch, so its very easy to climb by just including them. an example i had earlier today: play 3/5 watch post on 3, my opponent is aggro zoo with plenty of 1-drops and just scoops

They are somewhat strong but i think they are mostly good in very greedy control decks.
In faster decks i dont think they are good, they wont attack and when facing a greedy deck that plays 1 big minion a turn the extra cost of that minion doesnt really matter and the 2/2 you summon does nothing.

the most successful deck that includes them atm is tempo rouge

well every deck seems to run them right now but shouldnt there be better options for a tempo deck?
They seem to be kinda weak against control and combo decks. You will give them a lot of time as they dont put direct pressure.

Do you have a decklist so i can see what the tempo rogue list looks like?

They are good in any deck imo. Especially Far Watch Post is incredibly punishing if you can’t remove it quickly, it quickly spirals out of control.

yes, but they put in plenty of work against stuff like secret paladin and zoo that doesnt have any real removal. so against those types of decks they just force your opponent to invest their cards into removing your watchposts while you keep playing for tempo.

TY!

And hmm that is true, they are kinda good against some of the other faster tempo decks that i can see. Still i wonder if they will hold up against control decks in the long run.

@below:yes i did notice that as well.

For rogue i think the best card is the 3 mana secret minion which forces a secret archetype.

they are useless against spell druid though. And spell priest doesn’t care either.

My shadow zoo just demolishes the post the exact turn they appear.

And…
Posts are a very easy buildaround so i would give people time to try play against they before.

What is a watch post? Wild atm is lots of pirate warrior.

funny how beta testers pointed out the problem with these towers days ago

Blizzard will feign ignorance again.

a lot of people rated them low aswell because since they cant attack they might not see any play at all. with enough content creators someone will eventually get a guess right

Trump rated both Towers 5 stars yesterday and pointed out their crazy power.

When Regis made that deck he said he didn’t expect it to win a game and was constantly surprised when it did well
