Right, bit that’s what they did before caverns. Little tweaks that weren’t a big deal at the time but became substantial once the mini-set hit.
Alec Dawson’s tweet specifically says that “Buffs looking at recent archetypes that didn’t hit as well as we want”.
I don’t see a way to read that which suggests the buffs are to an archetype that hasn’t been introduced yet but is coming in the miniset. It seems much more likely that they’re something that’s already available but not that strong so far.
Ah, then obviously they’re gonna buff the powerhouse deck waiting in the wings…Freeze Mage!
I would kill for a good Freeze Mage deck but i dont see it , people are already having strokes over Quest Mage if Freeze gets to be good again they would burn this forums to the ground.
Fire mage buffs inc.
Why not, They literally refuse to work on Stealer of Souls til it hit wild, it’s not hard considering how some say turn it into once per a turn the next card you draw cost health instead of mana, makes it where it’s not chain health.
Plus have you seen current wild Warlock decks? They drop the weapon all together

To use this deck, copy it to your clipboard and create a new deck in Hearthstone
And don’t say “it’ll be unfair to ban 1 quest and let other classes keep their quest” cause they kinda already through the “fair” rules , like Hero Cards - and yes the DH is new it won’t have a Hero card, that’s fine, but Druid and Paladin literally only had their DK hero cards, and no other sense then. And don’t forget the “rework” card also which even made some classes have less cards then other classes in wild. So I’ll say it’s not as unfair for 1 card to have the whole meta then to be ban while they try to fix it in 1 game mode then trying keep fixin’ it for both standard and wild by just doing flesh giants.
As I mention above the rod isn’t even really used much anymore, they went on a faster note with the deck I show you that the “rising star” that has nearly 65-70+ win rate w/ most those cards in their Mul, so I don’t think it’ll be the rod, as you can kinda “tech” around the rod and the rod deck is abit slower til you get to burn damage, the current 1 I show just get there so quick while dumping your hand nearly for free. They even put some good ol’ Heal throw back in it with ghoul.
So after lookin’ at the data that show the weapon that is kinda easy to tech out oddly enough to say with the Agro/priate deck that even break weapons are 1 the few deck feedin’ off Warlock, the quest is the only real major offender to be ban for wild current state as that card alone is what “breaking the wild” in all honesty. And using their own words for Stealer of Souls
that how everything really pointin’ at IMO.
Well, we shall see what they do on Tuesday. I’m interested to see how things are going to change and I’m expecting the Priest Quest is going to be the rework.
So I’m actually looking forward to seeing what’s in store.
I am rooting for some big warrior buff. let’s go
Still 10000x better than Quest Mage.
I don’t think the weapon will be banned.
I think it will be nerfed.
If they leave Warlock immune to Fatigue you are correct and they would be correct in their complaint because that mechanic and Ignite have removed control decks from the game.
I know that, That why I was tryin’ explain to them, and show them even the current “top performing deck” doesn’t even use it, and it goin’ be the “later problem” much like how they treated Stealer of Souls. I just screw up on the quote thing of your and hit convo as i’m too tired and been drinking Jack Daniels tonight to be bother to fix it
Anyone else ever notice you see more posts crying about people crying over mage, then you ever actually see people crying over mage?
Kind of makes you think, huh
That would be funny if it didnt came from the person crying non stop about Paladin while the class sits on top for years.
My advise is buy a mirror .
It’s also not true. I probably post more rebuttals to mage haters than anyone, but Mage and Priest are the most complained about classes, and always have been.
What’s actually funny to me is the players complaining about the amount of mage rebuttals are the same players that preach incessantly about confirmation bias, yet they don’t recognize when they are guilty of it:)
Agree. hunter is very strong, especially in wild. The odd hunter questline is a very strong deck. Usually ends the game by turn 5 or 6.
Flesh giant to 10/10, 11 mana
Warlock banned from wild
Refreshing Springwater to Ice Cold Milk
Priest hero power changed to ‘Comeback: resurrect a hero that died this game’
Oh boy that would be an even more frustrating card.
In Shadow Priest: if you didn’t win in early you give the opponent the disadvantage to draw bad cheap cards one by one while you draw good late-game cards. It would completely murder the classic concept of “Aggro wins in early and control wins in late” since now you steal the opponent’s control playstyle.
In Control Priest: it would be so troll against combo. You hope you draw Illucia in turn 3 and instantly use it, stealing most of the opponent’s combo pieces. I wouldn’t complain tho, good bye all questlines.
I don’t think they will rework her like this. The nerf will be directed towards shadow priest, since Illucia was designed only as a combo-breaker not a Loatheb-style tool. IMO the redesign will be something like “Also give your opponent a 0 mana spell that gives your hand back” so it gets useless in aggro.
It would be too good against any opponent. The reason Illucia is pretty tech and hard to use is because you also give your hand to the opponent so it’s really worth it only against combo. With your suggestion you could steal a card from any opponent and not risk anything since only you get a card from them.
I am afraid of 2 things:
- ban: I want to play my cards, stop banning them from wild!!! Fix them instead
- priest redesign: I really hope they are not making the quest easier and faster to complete… they are probably talking about illucia, but who knows
Note: if they are banning quest lock from wild instead of fixing it, well, they are keep murdering one of the classes that I like to play in wild.
Fortunately I still play almost every class (but druid, warrior and DH), so it’s not a big hit, but I hate it nonetheless
and you will probably be disappointed
if they make the 10 mana minion 9 mana, rip wild even mage; but welcome odd janalai mage??? Interesting…
The solution would be, that wild is everything except of standard, so they dont have to juggle same cards for 2 game modes (or at least not the latest expansion).
