Nerf Pirates in Battlegrounds

Man all im gonna say is if you dont go pirates in bgs then you arent winning. I get hit by dragon groups, murlocs, demons etc but for like 6 dmg or around there after losing a round but pirates hit me for 15+ mid game. Blizzard yall suck with the people you hire to fix this game. Seriously got me paying 20 bucks to get the upgraded version. Greediest company ever.

Pirates are exceptionally punishing when they win a match because of all the mid combat buffs they receive. Where other tribes would usually trade, pirates tend to stay alive adding that extra damage.

Big minions
Cleaves
Beasts
Bombs
The usual divine shield poisonous murlocs
are all good counters for pirates

I’m not saying they are in need of change, or that they are unstoppable, just that pirates tend to hit much harder sooner than other late game builds, which comes as a deadly surprise to most.

Pirates might not be op but it sure feels like it when they two turn kill you out of the BG.

Pirates are op in the MIDGAME. Cleaves are weak or nonexistant. Bombs are not enough or possibly banned. Beast are too weak or banned, and often WORSE. Tokens are awful against pirates because as they kill your 1/1s, they are gaining 4/4. Divine poisoness murlocs? Really, have you ever actually played this game? That is an ultra late game build.

All completely useless, try playing the game before you give “advice.”

Pirate needs luck too, welcome to Battlegrounds, where one refresh can win or lose you an entire game.

I sort of agree. They create a situation where they blow players out of the water for 20+ damage before they can really establish a build, then often fizzle themselves late game. If you’re playing well and piecing together a decent board turn 7, you shouldn’t be able to suddenly lose and go 8th place because your opponent Pirate high-rolled.

Overall Pirates aren’t the strongest tribe, but their mid-game can be ridiculous.

Compare ripsnarl that gives immediate buffs to sensei which takes eons to get going. Rip makes ppl go R.I.P. while mechs and sensei are ho hum meh

Ripsnarl captain isn’t a problem. The real problem is the Yo Ho Ogre, whenever a 1/1 hit it it gains +4/+4 and hit back, it should be a 5/12 at Tavern Tier 5.

To counter pirates all you need is one big taunted minion.
They are really strong mid game, but they fall off hard in the late game.

That’s it, huh? Well let me grab my insta 20/20 taunt at tier 4 to win the game! Wait, that’s not how that works? Good freaking luck. Especially when that minion you’ve dedicated everything to gets one shotted by a shielded minibot.

100% this.
