I don’t know who thought that 18 damage for 2 mana over the span of turns is logical but no wonder this expansion is broken.
2 mana . 3 charges. A child could tell this is overpowered. How do you print this like this I don’t even know.
It’s only OP if you are playing a deck that ignores the board. If that’s your deck the location is doing its job wrecking you.
It’s really not helping this expansion at all. Everything is taken to the extreme in this expansion, maybe that’s their intention.
Hunter can literally kill you (or basically have you on the ropes) turn 3 if you run a control deck that happens to Mulligan with zero early clear (it happens.)
That’s a little excessive even for wild. And this is standard we are talking about.
Not saying hunter is the only problem, not by a long shot, nor is it the largest problem, but the cards given to hunter definitely don’t help to widen the playable set of classes, and in fact act to make it very narrow which classes and decks are playable.
It’s nothing without a board though. R.C Rampage is a more problematic card. There’s more than enough decks that beat Hunter. I can almost guarantee you the OP is playing Rainbow Mage and is upset he’s punished for playing a deck that doesn’t play the board. Hunter is traditionally the Class that beats Mage regardless of the location.
Yeag that spell will go to 5 mana. 4 mans is just criminally undercosted.
Yeah, just kill the hunter before turn 4 when the rc dog swarm comes out with the location. Herpa derpa.
If you aren’t playing to the board on the first four turns of the game that’s a you problem not the opposing cards.
Only if u have no minions, otherwise is maximum 6 damage face on 5 turns.
Its not that broken.
The mana cost for the card justifies 2 uses, not 3. People can fight me on that but I won’t budge.
I mean Dance Floor has 2 uses and it’s significantly weaker. What justifies this having 3?
Weaker based on what? Also, The hunter location has a condition to work, and u cant garantee it will all the time and just take in consideration that even if u have the full 6 dmg it can still be possibly absorbed by minions, so it cant be that strong.
m8, on everything!
I continuously cleared the board and he continuously filled it to deal the full 18 over the span of turns when I played against it.
Look at Vile Library and tell me what makes that have 2 uses and this 3. I’ll tell you the reason, it’s bec it’s in overpowered hunter. Everything comes bigger and stronger in that class to make its miniscule fan base try and grow.
Ok, if u say so ![]()

Look at Vile Library and tell me what makes that have 2 uses and this 3
First of all, vile library was released on 2022, like, 4 or 5 expansions ago, the power level today as a whole is totally different.
U could easily make it work at that time, and u had multiple ways of making it work, not only that, but u could also direct the damage where u wanted instead of praying to rngesus to help u, so as u can see, taking these facts in consideration, its totally justified.
I enjoy playing different hunter builds.
Had a Hunter throw both his Jungle Gyms down on like… turn 5.
Two turns later, he conceded because I used Threads of Despair to clear his entire board. Then a buffed Hollow Hound to cleave the rest off and get my health to full.
Hunter was at 25 hp. I was at 30. He had a full hand when he conceded too.
Jungle Gym can be OP. But if you play DK or Warlock, you can deal with it quickly. Toss some Threads of Despair in your deck as a DK, or just the Twisting Nether as a Warlock.
Remember when everyone thought hunter was gonna be bad because the hounds don’t have rush?
Hot take: Hunter needs to be buffed.
If he loses the board early, the game’s over. He has 0 comeback potential.
For such a class, his early game is pretty underwhelming as long as you get to clear his board before he goes on a Rampage.
I would like to see more hunters on the ladder. We haven’t seen any last rotation, except the last 10 days or so with the unnerfs.
Give the class some love.
Remember when everyone thought hunter was gonna be bad because the hounds don’t have rush?
I still think they totally should, and RC rampage should totally buff the dogs that come from the weapon.
I don’t know how much it would impact if they did. You kinda want a wide board to activate the location. And if I really need rush, I just play Bunny Stomper and give the beasts I summon off of Saddle Up rush too.
Hunter is traditionally the Class that beats Mage regardless of the location.
kewl is Mallenroh’s alt/lover, so this would make sense.
I just enjoy Mage so I speak about it.
I want to think I am enough of a person on my own to not need be compared to others. We just play the same class.
