Nerf combo decks

To the ground please… just saying. I want to go back to minion-based game… not something where playing a minion feels like a mistake almost every time.

Danke, the sooner the better.

Presumably, once the meta has settled, we will have a regular rock/paper/scissors-spread of decks, with aggro decks killing combo, combo killing control and control killing aggro.
Not exactly exciting, either way.
And the inevitable nerfs will almost certainly kill a ton of homebrews, which aren’t hyperfocused on completing their quests.
It’s a lose-lose situation, I bet.

I really doubt the nerfs will be artful, but I hope they will. I hate mana cheat and have always despised Incanter’s Flow but if they kill IF without giving mage something else they might as well delete the class again.

Either the nerfs will be too much or too little.
I just have the gnawing feeling that, as a result of the former, building decks not based on pure meta-slave mentality will become much less viable.
The latter case isn’t great, either, I do admit.

NO THANKS, thats the reason I didnt liked barrens. I do belive we need nerfs. but The meta needs to be good for all classes, not just Hunter and shaman

I’d rather get lobotomized than see face hunter and aggro ele shaman every other match for 3 more months!

With the way things are moving forward in HS, your free, effective lobotomy by sheer stupid design and meta might be available soon.
So…that’s something, I guess.

They need to just be removed… no1 plays a f minion

Amazing how Face hunter can constantly hover around Tier 1 and never be deemed in need of a nerf.

Then again any nerf to hunter ability to go face would delete the class much like this expansion pushing an aggro meta has deleted priest.

I now dub you the enlightened one.

If this counts as enlightenment in these forums, perhaps I should leave.

Control decks are unplayable.

Why do people think this? Mage has lots of good new cards and lots of strategies they can play.

They don’t need to rely on the 70% winrate of a turn 2 incanter’s flow.

The quest is actually pretty good even without Auctioneer, Incanter’s Flow and Refreshing Spring Water. It’s worse, but it’s still good.

I like combos just not like I win combo’s. decks are only 30 cards so drawing out I win combos are beyond easy… So yeah they really shouldn’t exist…

My personal take is that Incanter’s Flow is a factor in how the devs design for the class as a way to mitigate the relatively low-quality of a few mage cards. I think 3 mana Arcane Intellect is a bit odd when compared to other classes card draw, cough, DH, cough… and 3 mana for 8 armor is most often too slow and delaying the inevitable. However, Incanter’s Flow is busted when combined with another IF or refreshing spring water.

I absolutely could be wrong, but it’s just my take.

8 armor for 3 mana is typical, generally secrets are 1 mana better than a regular spell but it’s armor gain for a class that doesn’t have armor gain. 2 cards for 3 mana is typical too. 2 mana, draw 2 is considered overstated. Demon Hunter’s card draw is technically conditional or has some other effect which makes it crazy.
