They take out one card, “G Megasaur” and don’t bother trying to balance with another, leaving tier 6 with no Murloc card whatsoever. I always laughed at the “tip” that said Murloc was strong in the early game and implied mech was stronger in the end game. I guess the person who put that tip in suddenly came to the realization how wrong he/she was and decided to fix their blunder by destroying Murloc as a viable race to play in battleground. Hopefully, they find a way to make Murloc playable again… At least put a decent Murloc card in tier 6 guys… sheesh
What bout all those times where i finished 1st but never found that damn megasaur ? Happened quite often … Megasaur just made them Op , but i agree that not replacing it with something else was a huge mistake !
Yep… no reason to go beyond Tier 4 now with Murlocs. There is nothing in Tier 6 of much value.
Yes G-saur is strong. But because it is easy to get hooked on murlocs early in the game (due to 3 tier 1 murlocs… I do agree that murlocs are strong very early, but then weak in the middle, and then you need the G-saur to ramp up hard at the end)… but because it is easy to get started in murlocs, murloc demand usually is competitive among 3… maybe 4 players.
A good dragon deck should be able to take down the divine shield, poisoned murloc. Maybe a mech deck too, but I suppose the others (Pirates and Beasts… as I don’t consider demons) are unable to beat a DS/P murloc board.
Murlocs seem fine to me. Maybe you just relied too much on highrolls, hmm?

Yeah I think Murlocs are still pretty strong all in all. They aren’t a guaranteed first place if you hit the build, and you really need a Brann to be viable in the late game, but if the shops are pushing you toward Murlocs you can still get some solid boards.
People are complaining because they can’t get their full board of DS poison anymore… didn’t matter if the murlocs had relatively low stats. The One Punch Man murloc was what mattered. Now if you want that you need to climb to T6 with a menagerie build and get an Amalgadon.

Murlocs are still viable with bran,a tier 5 minion. They have the best board wide buffs of all tribes. All other tribes also need to hit certain tier 5 or 6 minions to be viable,with the exception maybe of mechs.
They are not dead, they are where they need to be I think. Now it just takes work like the other tribes to make them viable. No more auto-pilot.
There’s no piloting at all in battlegrounds. It’s stats until tier 3/5 and then pray.
They’re pretty much the worst tier now, true. I play around 8k currently, and murlocs are only used to get momentum early game, then switched out for literally anything else as they’re way too weak at end-game. Amalgam is stronger than any murloc minion, and available to all tribes.
So why play a tribe with no strong deathrattles, harder access to DS, and very low base HP stats, then pretty much all other tribes are stronger? Sure you might end up in the top 4, but that’s more about other player’s having bad luck than murlocs themselves being any good now. Beasts are the new murloc at endgame, with the ability to attain insane stats , even on deathrattle-generated minions to crush any other board. Pirates, dragons and mechs are generally good, with demons below average, and murlocs, s*it tier.
You still have to goto tier 5 with murlocs or you wont get enuf bagurgies and primal cant get you bagurgies and wont hit triple brann and you can then discover amalgadons as your triples.

Nobody ever was 1st with murlocs ever in my experience after nerf.

They surely got a big hit, that’s for sure. Abit ironic though is that I hit a 12-win streak at +7k rating with murlocs (as Rafaam) the other day. Smooth sailing from start to goal. Pretty rare these days.
I’m sure there is some new Murlocs in the works right now. I can’t imagine they would leave them without any tier 6 options.
The problem Gentle Megasaur presented was going from no board to a full, near unbeatable board in one turn. It also gave Murlocs everything(divine shield, poison, deathrattles, more health/attack, whirlwind) to every minion of the tribe. It was brainless. Hopefully they can find something to give Murlocs some bite that requires some decision making.
Wrong, when your favorited by bob with murloc cards you can easily still get a first place with them.
Since stats aare hard to come by your midrange is quite alright, then give them poisonous and get some selfless hero.
You can go to t6 for those amalgams if you are healthy.
Battlegrounds is not that difficult and divine shields / poisonous builds are still a number one spot.
I am glad megasaur is gone since murlocs are now at level so other builds can have a shot.
The problem right now is whoever gets a brann or baron early will accelerate in power to much compared to the rest.
Not to mention a captain eudora highroll or a reno jackson getting a early baron/brann.
Last time i got reno i got a early brann and it was over for the rest of the people.
They should have replaced Megasaur with Tinysaur:

before megasaur was taken out, the top spot was dominated by murloc. they needed to do something, i was just saying they over compensated and now murlocs win the least from my experiences. i never said they couldnt win anymore.
with george the fallen, and a few toxfin, you can mimic getting lucky with megasaur and still have a killer board that will almost always win.
murlocs main strength now is you can have a good board by just going to tier 4. you dont really need tiers 5 and 6 anymore if you get lucky.
did i say lucky? i meant real lucky…
