Murk-Eye Captain Sanders Bug (Same as reported in 2023)

I just played a game where my Murk eye triggered Captain Sanders, and it made my Charlga golden. The Charlga then did not trigger end of turn at all.

For an end of turn effect to be counted, the card needs to be present on the field when the end of turn phase starts.

Because the golden Chargla was generated during the end of turn phase by Young Murk-Eye’s end of turn effect, it could not be present at the start of it. So it gets skipped.

This is not a bug.

I’m really perturbed by this response, having never seen end of turns effects themselves been pinned to card existense. Internally to end of turn, effects are triggered left to right, as positioning with murkeye, gem smuggler, et al. has strategy in and of itself (buff blood gems before casting, or buff shop with felemental before consuming, all left to right).
If the phase executes left to right, then it stands a card modified by becoming golden should execute left to right in turn. I would appreciate being shown where card existence before end of turn is discussed.

The Chargla was not modified – it is a brand new card that did not exist when the end-of-turn phase started.

When your end-of-turn phase arrives, the game makes a list of all your end-of-turn effects, and then triggers them one by one.

If one of those effects creates a new card that also has an end-of-turn effect, it’s too late. The game already made the list, and unlike Santa, it doesn’t check twice.
