Multiple Nerfs Were Undone BEFORE the New Expansion Rotation

The nerf really wasn’t meant to make shaman disappear, just lower how much an on curve doc decided the game.

It did that well.

I wish blizz toned back a lot of other cards that have an outsized impact on the game. I hate that they do it so selectively.

Know what is really sad? Theotar wasn’t unnerf.

Wild is almost a literal combo wasteland but blizzard not want to give people eficient disruption even if only there.

The reason for it is not really anything mysterious. This patch introduces the upcoming expansion and the new set rotation, they just need to enable the new card pool when rotation happens and the expansion hits. So all these unnerfs are just how cards are supposed to be once they rotate to wild, they just haven’t rotated yet.

The expansion content patch needs to rollout before the expansion actually happens to make sure the launch goes smoothly and iron out problems before launch day. This also gives them time to patch earlier after expansion release, in case something needs action. The secondary benefit of this is that cards that are about to rotate get a last little oomph in standard for those that want to kiss some of these decks/cards goodbye.

I understand a lot of people hate Renathal. But other people liked it and they will probably miss it. So they have this chance for a last dance.

It’s just a week. It’s really not that big of a deal. Also, the meta hasn’t even changed that much. It’s still snooze warrior after snooze warrior. Just snoozier than ever.

I wish they unnerfed the rogue location. Now THAT would have been FUN

Unless you are playing wild, the undone nerfs will be gone in a week. They did this to try to make the cards relevant in wild.

If you play for more than 3 months non-stop you may be confused [about how it feels to new accounts]. The game is infested by netdecking and generally copy-pasting meta decks.

Right now every single rank above ~D10 is completely infested with mediocre players playing extremely overpowered decks[eg 80% of opponents are the meme warrior].

… the only cards reverted are rotating. They do this every year.

Expect it to go full power next year prior to wild rotation.

Okay i have said this like three times. I know this. I am just saying they need to revert the Doc now because it’s utterly pointless with cards especially like Brann that are far more powerful.

I mean they changed a bunch of cards going into standard for the next season and ones that are staying already. Doc should have been in those changes.

More likely it’s a combination of being lazy and saving costs. The cards are probably at their “post-rotation” state, and Whizbang’s is just not “unlocked” yet.

It’s neither of those things

We know this is the case. It happens every year. Also it’s literally explained in the patch notes.

I only play ranked…

In fact, I think I’ve only ever touched casual when I want to use chillwind yeti

The real answer is to just not care, its hearthstone people, have a lil fun, its a card game, and we all know the only card game we can take seriously is uno.

People really lost my their minds over one week of a weird meta that won’t come close to being solved before it’s gone. If you don’t like the patch, do something productive with your week instead of playing hearthstone. Spend time with friends/family, work some overtime, find a hobby that doesn’t infuriate you. It’ll all be over in a few days.

No it is not… it is just making ppl more frustrated who just try to get their regular rank… this thing is just messing up the meta… not shaking it up… It was a bad idea… not good…

Just wait until you see how “messed up” the meta becomes on rotation if you think 1 week of buffed cards is a bad idea.

Then it was not “neither of those things”. Do some of you just reply to disagree just to disagree?

[In case it is not clear: if they are in a post-rotation state and it’s not rotation yet: it’s saving costs]

[Also “doing it every year” only proves …they save costs …chronically]

[PS and to dismantle that nonsense completely: if they truly wanted it for “fun”: they would not only leave the old ones unnerfed but every nerfed card would be unnerfed temporarily]

No, I think it won’t be so messed up since a lot of unfair mechanics and cards will dissapear after the rotation. I hope for the opposite, it will be much more balanced again.

Put that down to an aggressive whining campaign on reddit from people who wanted Control Warrior back. It’ll get hit, when the backlash reaches critical mass.
