What’s the most fun game mode that doesn’t make you angry?
Arena, go second, lose to tempo.
Duels, lose to turn 1-3 OTK.
Mercenaries, what is that.
Casual/ranked, aggro aggro aggro.
Battlegrounds, lose to heroes that can tier fast and generate value, and then scale +100/100 every turn.
Tavern brawl, fun casual game mode, until you have to draft your own deck.
For me it’s adventure, adventures are the best part about this game, shame they gave up on those for Mercenaries.
That’s like asking what your favorite type of cancer is.
I also used to like battlegrounds, then they removed buddies and made 80% of the heroes unplayable garbage.
Adventures, the last time I played one was One Night in Karazhan I think. Used to love the format.
And casual.
Haven’t played Arena and Tavern Brawl for years.
Duels, Mercenaries and Battlegrounds have never played.
Every one of those complaints is a “get good” issue. Honestly… Jesus Christ.
“I don’t have fun in competitive games because I’m not good enough or I don’t run optimal cards”.
Go play Counter Strike and play only with the M249 and see how far you get. It’s the same in any competitive game.
First two are determined by random chance, I have a 5.38 average win rate in arena which is above average and I don’t play duels anymore, standard your argument makes sense, battlegrounds you have an advantage with a pass, mercenaries no one plays that, also hearthstone requires less skill than csgo, you will lose every game with the m249 due to the price, even with random bullet spread, whereas in hearthstone you get a random draw or a “random” discover you can swing the game, it’s like buying the machine gun and closing your eyes and getting 3 headshots in a row
Battlegrounds, I’d say. Although, I do get angry. The real issue is the buildup of tension over time, which I forget to release.
As an aside, I have one of those HS stress relief toys, but it wasn’t doing the trick. I considered getting a fidget spinner, and then sometime later discovered (accidentally) that automatic knives are legal in my state. Nothing is more satisfying than flicking a switchblade over and over while playing BGs. This is what the fidget spinner wants to be… absolutely blows it away.
