Listen, one of the laziest play styles (in my opinion) is what’s going on with paladin and even dk where they can just keep their cards in hand and just let their minions get buffed over and over and over again until they become too strong to do anything about. Because even if you have done a lot of damage to the opponent, with lifesteal being on just about every minion these days, it becomes pointless. Now, before y’all jump down my throat, I’m not asking for nerfs or anything in that regard, however I am I proposing that there need to be some counter cards created that allow us to either completely debuff, our opponent’s hand or at the very least, induce some negative stats so that it can take away some of the buffing done.
That is a good idea so I don’t think it will ever happen
But then yall will come to the forums saying to nerf the debuff cards.
Here’s the thing if they do it right And don’t make the cards, OP, no one will need it to be Nerfed. They just need a better balancing team. That’s the problem.
Except that you can play around getting your minions debuffed, but can’t really play around minions that are huge, unless you have direct removal spells/abilities which are actually fairly balanced in the game.
Putting cards that reduce stats, or maybe even revert stats back to normal, is precisely the type of board-based skill that should return to the game.
With that said, I don’t see them adding as much debuff effects as buff effects, because this would make creature-based decks less focused on stats, and more combo heavy. So, the type of degeneracy that we had with Naga Mage during Voyage to the sunken city.
