The new patch just finished and now when I open my Hearthstone, the graphics are missing. I tried resetting my options in game settings, and that caused the saloon doors image to flash for a second when opening the game but then the screen went black again (though sometimes just a yellow rectangle appears). I can hear all the sounds (music, talking, etc.) I’m on a MacBook Pro laptop.

Did you try to “Scan & Repair”?
That option is in the BattleNet client next to the blue play button behind the cogwheel symbol.
Shoot, just tried it and that didn’t work. 
Try to delete the cache:
https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/34721
Delete the following folders:
- Battle.net
- Battle.net_components
- Blizzard Entertainment
Still not working! (Thank you for the suggestions; I’m guessing these usually fix most problems.)
The one thing you can try now is to delete Hearthstone and BattleNet and reinstall them.
