I’m constantly getting a “missing card” error for the decks that I’ve made. When I hover over these missing cards, there’s a tooltip that pops up that says “You don’t have this card. Click to find a replacement.” I clearly have these cards since I wouldn’t have been able to make my deck without them in the first place.
Has anyone else came across this issue before? I’ve been dealing with this for several weeks. The only fix that I’ve found is choosing the cards the game recommends, then removing them, and then add the original cards back.
This is getting really frustrating. I don’t always have the time to spend on making a deck. That’s mostly why I choose to play wild, that way I don’t have to worry about updating my decks to play. If anyone knows a way to permanently fix this issue, please let me know.
Not true, assuming you only built the deck but have not played it. If the deck was built from an internet deck code, there’s no requirement at all that you actually own the cards.
And even if you do own the card, it’s possible that the deck code used a specific version of a card that you don’t own, i.e. a deck code might have the version of Emperor Thaurissan from the Caverns of Time set, but you actually own the Blackrock Mountain adventure version of him, and so the deck would show him as missing.
Or if you have played the deck, it could be a deck that you built a few weeks or months ago, under the previous Core set. The Core set was rotated last week, and some cards have been added and others were removed.
So, for example if you had a deck with Alexstrazsa Life-Binder, that deck would now show her as missing, because she was in the 2023 Core set and thus was on loan to your collection, but she was removed last week and so she is no longer in your collection.
Yeah, several people have reported similar problems. The only fix seems to be to delete the deck and completely remake it by hand.
I didn’t use a deck code for most of the decks that I have. Even if I did use an internet deck code, I wouldn’t have been able to play those decks to begin with, because they would have had missing cards from the beginning.
Let me try to rephrase this. I KNOW I have these cards. When I replace them with the ones the game recommends, I remove the recommended cards, and add the original cards.
If there are multiple versions of the same card, then Blizzard need to make the transition as seamless as possible, especially if the cards are already in my collection. It’s not an * if * they are, they DEFINITELY are in my collection.
When it comes the core set cards, I would understand if it did this for standard decks. It should not do it for wild decks. This is the main reason why I mostly only play wild. I don’t have the time anymore to constantly update my decks and trying to figure out which cards are currently in the meta. I just want to play for fun.
I would appreciate if I could get a faster solution to play my decks with cards I own, instead of removing these cards only to add them again. Especially when the cards show as already being in my deck, but I can’t use them until I remove and re-add them. That’s bad game design.
Delete the deck and remake it. Don’t use a code even if you have one; add each card separately.
This should resolve the issue permanently.
Actually, I just found a faster solution on my own. I’m sure others are aware of it, but I’ll mention it if it ends up helping others out.
Simply drag the missing card out of your deck by holding down left click and then put it back in place. Unfortunately, it doesn’t do the same if there is a copy of the card. Simply just search the copy in your deck.
This is going to save A LOT of time, instead of replacing with recommended cards, removing those, and then re-adding the original cards.
Thank you for your help. This is a lot faster than removing the deck and starting over.
I dont use codes and zilli and alexstraza life binder are gone. I did like above -removed them from the deck but when I went to add them - I dont own them. I wasnt given a GIFT I spent `1600 for both those cards…whats the fix for that??
impossible , there was no way to spend 1600 on Alex life binder , or found it in packs before…
only temporary core one was available for all and now they take it back from all.

No you did not.
Until two weeks ago, Alexstrasza Life-Binder was ONLY a Core card. She was created several years ago specifically as part of the Core set. She was never in any expansion set. She was in your collection as part of the Core set, which is a LOAN from Blizzard.
You did not craft her, because that is impossible. Core cards cannot be crafted.
It’s hard to take these bug reports seriously when people say things that are impossible.
