I have returned to Hearthstone after many years and I find that many of my cards have disappeared. I have read on the forums that cards are eliminated due to rotation but it doesn’t make any sense because those cards can be manufactured to play in the wild. I had a normal and a gold nzoth and both have disappeared but the game lets me make the nzoth again. Is this normal? Am I going to spend money on cards that Blizzard is going to remove from the game from time to time?
how did you get the cards? were they free? did you craft them? did you get them from packs?
They are from several different expansions, some from booster packs and others created
not enough info, what exactly are you missing?
example of cards I’m missing: dr.boom, practically all the old gods cards and NORTHSHIRE CLERIC!!! among other. It’s difficult to be specific but I’m mainly missing ancient gods, knights of the frozen throne and various cards, it’s difficult since I haven’t played for about 4 years.
Are those cards missing from a deck, or from your collection?
If they’re missing from your collection, what filter are you using to browse? standard, wild, legacy, or a specific expansion set?
all except the northshire cleric were in the collection. I have searched in standard, wild and legacy
So how exactly did you notice they were missing? Did you just randomly browse your collection, looking for certain cards?
Yes, upon entering after so much time I simply wanted to see the collection, I also know that I am missing them because in all the time I played I barely undid cards
Are you sure you logged in to the correct account/region?
Yes, I am in the European region and it is my account because I still have the decks created before leaving the game
in 4 year different things changed , example for Northshire Cleric

Is possible you lost it when Cleric moved to HoF , in this case there was a full dust compensation , but now i dont remember if for full dust compensation was required to login in successive months , or dust compensation was given to all inactive accounts.
edit: here you can find a bit more info of this thing from the past
https://hearthstone.wiki.gg/wiki/Hall_of_Fame
seems like logins were required to not lose the dust … so it’s possible you lost the card , and lost the compensation .
I understand that this would basically happen with all the other cards, but well, I still don’t understand why they turn my cards into dust if they can continue playing and crafting in wild mode…
that’s true is we consider how game works now , but is possible back in the year different thinks was happening that can explain it , but i dont remember all.
if we take the old posts

Priest Cards Entering Hall of Fame
Rotating these cards to the Hall of Fame will bring Priest more in line with its class identity and help them explore exciting new archetypes. Players who own the Classic cards below will be granted the full dust refund for each. Players who do not have access to the Wild format will have the two Basic cards removed from their collection and will be granted a full dust refund for both.
is possible for them was impossible to put wild cards in accounts with wild content still not unlocked.
And if i remember back in the past wild was harder to unlock , now since they want people to buy old stuff like packs , they made it easy.
later in that article they say
Five neutral cards will join the Hall of Fame on March 26. You will be able to keep your copies of these cards once they move to the Hall of Fame, and you’ll also be granted the full Arcane Dust value for each card (up to the maximum number that can be used in a deck). The dust will be automatically awarded once you log-in after March 26.
where it seems they let the cards to the players and also granted dust.
edit: basically they did strange stuff based of how game was working on the past , infact seems they didn’t like how it was working and changed multiple times over the years , changing the old stuff with the new Core version that still create confusion and problems.
